Folks, K-5 owner here.  How can I setup my camera to capture 5 exposures using 'drive mode' AND keep the aperature the same for all shots? It looks to me like this can't be done.  If I set to "M", both F-stop and shutter speed are varied to achieve the set EV between exposures.  If I set to Aperature Priority mode looks like I get constant F-stop as I desire but I lose control over the starting point - i.e. can't set initial shutter speed....that's what I want to do. What am I missing...

Hi, I am thinking of changing out my standard zoom.  I have the Sigma 24-70mm HSM which is a quality lens but it is so heavy, 790g. It can occasionally have a wobble on its anti-shake performance too. I had it checked out and there is nothing wrong with the lens. I would like to get something a bit lighter and with a wider angle than 24mm.  The 16-85mm WR would do this well and looks on paper to be a better lens than the other possible. that is the 18-135mm WR. Both of these are less than...

Sadly, my desktop has bit the dust due to a lightning strike. I now have a lightweight windows 8 tablet with HD display for quick edits. Is there a RAW converter that is recommended? It is full windows 8 with 128 GB HD so any software can be installed. The catch - no CD drive so I need a download. I think SilkyPix came with the K3 ( which I own), but I could not find a download. --https://www.facebook.com/GreinerStudio---Pentax K5Sigma 8-16 f/4.5-5.6 DC HSMPentax SMCP-DA 40 f/2.8 ED Limited...

Is there a simple way to do this using Liveview, a tripod and a stationary target? Is there any way to let the camera focus as it would with AF, then switch to MF, adjust to be sahrp using LV, and then find out what adjustment you had to apply (i.e. a indicator on the LCD?) This is my first time using the microadjust so please let me know if there is a method as mentioned above, and if not, what to do? --https://www.facebook.com/GreinerStudio---Pentax K5Sigma 8-16 f/4.5-5.6 DC HSMPentax...

Hello, I have unfortunately lost all my photo gear in an accident. My gear bag containing all my equipment got crushed under the wheels of a 40t truck. :( So I am back to square 1. I used to shoot with a Pentax K5 + Pentax K20D, a DA* 50-135 f/2.8, the DA* 16-50 f/2.8 and the F 70-210 f/4-5.6. Since I have to completely rebuild my full gear on a tight budget I have been studying several options. First of all I mainly shoot Football (Soccer that is for our US friends) Rugby Union, Polo and Ice...

I'm about to ditch my M43 gear and get back into a DSLR. I have always liked Pentax and the K5IIs seems like it has everything I need for a great price. Should I go that route or a different camera? Thanks.

I have a Pentax K-5 and this weekend at a Wrestling tournament I had a battery and charger stolen. (I didn't have a spare --- for this camera.) My question is do I really need to buy a Pentax brand or is there some other brands that will be good for me to get? I also have the K20, but the batteries are not the same! --Rene'

Hello everyone Do you think IQ of K-S2 is Better than that in K5IIS? i think that IQ of K5IIS is better than new K-S2, and suppose that IQ of K-S1 like K-S2, so i need information if IQ of K5iis is better or not than that in K-s1  with best  regards.

Over at IR they state its between the K-50 and the K-3. Where is it compared to the K-5ll and the K-5lls? Those new features: tilt and swivel, Wi Fi, auto HDR, etc. would have looked nice on the K-5lls. I guess we'll have to wait and see some images from the sensor. What say you? I want to take bracketed shots on a K3/K5 using mirror lock up. The only way I can see of doing this is to enable live view & use single shot bracketing. However, I read on this Canon forum Live View vs. Mirror Lockup - Photo.net Canon EOS Forum that there is a difference with regard to the shutter curtain which means that Live View is not as effective as Mirror Up in reducing vibration - at least with Canons. Does anyone know if, when it comes to vibration, Live View is the same as Mirror Up...
