The Pentax K-30 weather-sealed mid-level DSLR is built around the 16MP sensor and processor as the company's K-01 and borrows many of the features from the more expensive K-5. It can shoot continuously at up to 6 frames per second, has a maximum shutter speed of 1/6000th of a second and can capture video at 1080p30.

The Pentax K-30 offers a comprehensive feature set, excellent high ISO performance and very flexible Raw files at an attractive price point and is therefore an easy recommendation for any stills photographer. However, if you are looking for a DSLR to shoot video with the competition offers better alternatives.
Good for: Stills photographers who want a weather-sealed camera with good customizability and great low light performance without breaking the bank
Not so good for: Video shooters
