Hello, My Sigma 17-50 mm lens just arrived. I mounted it on my Pentax K-3 but looks like once the lens is mounted, there is a thin gap between camera and the lens. The lens sits tight and it does not come off but the gap is clearly visible. See pics below: It is clearly visible in the second image. Is this usual or is something wrong with the lens? Thanks. --https://www.flickr.com/photos/maripalli/

Hello, I shot some pics with Rokinon 14mm lens with K-3. I was looking to do some PP in photoshop and I could not find lens correction profile for this lens. I have never done any lens corrections before as I never shot this wide before. When I enable lens profile correction in camera raw, it does not recognize the lens (leaves it blank). I can't even select that lens as it does not exist in database. Does anyone know how to add lens profile correction for Rokinon 14 mm? Can I simply use...

Hello, I customized the "Raw-Fx" button to "Exposure Bracketing" drive more. So when I am using K-3 in Single Frame Shooting drive mode and press the "Raw-Fx" button, it automatically changes the drive more to shoot three pictures using the preset "Exposure Bracketing" settings. But, once I am done, how do I get back to Single Frame mode? Pressing the "Raw-Fx" button again does not change it back. I have to press the drive mode button and scroll all the way to single frame and press OK. Is...

With my old canon, I used a Benro aluminium tripod with a B-1 ball head. It served me well even in rough conditions. I think it can still handle the weight of K-3 with a light lens. But when I add a slightly heavy lens (Rokinon 14 mm) the ball head started to sag a little. I took a 10 second exposure and noticed the sag. Any tripods you recommend? I am not looking for super heavy tripods as I carry it around while travelling. I need something that's relatively light/portable.... of course it...

Hello, Another newbie question here. I recently got my K-3 and Rokinon 14mm. I took it out today to shoot some snow pictures. I followed usual steps of enabling the aperture ring and live view focus peeking in the menu. I am still having trouble focusing through the view finder. When I look through the view finder, everything seems to be in focus irrespective of where my focus ring is positioned. Live view magnification usually helps me get the proper focus. Am I doing something wrong while...

Hello, My new rokinon 14mm f/2.8 just arrived. I mounted it on my K-3 and when i switch on the camera it asks me to input "Focal Length". The allowable values are from 35 to 1000. There is no option for me to enter "14" as focal length. What focal length should I select and how does it affect the pictures? Thanks. --https://www.flickr.com/photos/maripalli/

Hi, I'm looking for a compact case for carrying my K-3 and one medium sized walk-around lens - the largest lens I'm thinking of would be a Sigma 17-50 2.8 that I just got on the black Friday sale. It should also work other lenses like my (smaller) DA 18-135 and even my Rokinon 8mm Fisheye. Bonus points for a case with changeable front ends for different size lenses, if such a thing exists. Of course any case for a K-3 should also work on the K-5 series or just about any other recent Pentax...

Hello all, This is going to a total noob question. I was interested in buying a Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 manual lens for my new Pentax K-3. I looked on Amazon and BHPhoto to see if it does auto-metering but I could not find any details. I know that it is a manual focus lens. I called Rokinon and they said that it is a total "manual" lens and will not have any kind of auto-metering. So if I were using this lens in manual mode, how do I set the shutter speed for a particular aperture? Will the screen...

I have been shooting with a Sony A200 since 2008 or so. Been using it for about 6 years now. I have the basic 18-55 kit lens, Sony 50-200 lens, Tokina 11-16 lens, Sony 1.8 35 mm, & the Sony 50mm 1.8. I enjoy using it quite a lot. It is reaching its age though. I'm going to guess that it has about +-60,000 actuations by now. I have been looking at the A77II & the A6000. Both of them look pretty awesome. Both of them have features that I want & features that I don't want. I'll be good with the...

Hello, I am interested in buying a Sigma 14-50 mm f/2.8 lens for my new Pentax K-3. I looked on Amazon and the new one being sold by amazon sells for $520. There are many 3rd party sellers primarily from Japan selling the same lens for about $340. That is a big saving of almost 30%. Is it safe to buy a lens with no USA warranty? Being such a popular lens that has been in the market for so many years, is it safe to assume that there won't be any QA/QC issues? Does anyone have any experience...
