Has anyone used an IOGear Mediashair Wifi media hub for photo backup and can report on the transfer speeds? The Ravpower X5 seems not too bad as a device but is limited to 3MB/s and so would take 3 hours to backup a 32GB card. :-( I'm hoping the IOgear is a little faster than that.
Just wondering if people actually use PSP X5 or X6 for layers regularly and achieve quality results.I just upgraded my LR to LR5, and been watching tutorials for Photoshop. I'm not quite willing yet to commit to Photoshop as at this point I don't think I have a portfolio of images that demand it. But I would still like to start using layer masks for adjustments and cutting and pasting selections etc. So far it's not going so smooth in PSP X6 for me (learning the concept from scratch isn't...
Hi everyone. I would really appreciate some help. I recently bought a Pentax X5 camera after a frustrating experience with Panasonic TZ30. The problem is that zoom range during video shooting is only 7.2X and my feeling is that it is digital zoom, rather than optical zoom as image quality really deteriorates when you zoom. The zoom range starts at your initial zoom level and would go to 7.2X no matter what. I've looked at all the settings to see if I'm doing anything stupid but can't figure...
Today, I found my Sony DSC-H1 (2005) seems to have given up (hardly surprising). Holding down the shutter button halfway to focus, it wouldn't focus anymore. I doubt given its age, that it is worthwhile to have a camera store repair it. It was only in the past couple years that I'd purchased the teleconverter lens for it ------- especially for bird photography which I really enjoy. Considering that it is good zoom that I need especially, and I'm not so sure I could handle the weight for a...
I am not sure this is the correct place for this question but, since it involves both PCs and Macs, I did not think the separate PC and Mac forums were the correct place. Many photo editors allow the user to install the software on two separate machines - usually a desktop and a laptop. I was wondering if that applied to two separate machines of which is a Mac and the other of which is a PC. Does anyone know about mixing PC/Mac licenses? As a separate question most photo editing software...
I have a DSC-W290 compact. I have taken some video with it and would like to download it to my computer for video editing with Corel Video Studio Pro X5. But X5 does not find the video data when I put the card into the reader. I can download photos, but not the video. What do I need to get the video footage into X5? Thanks, Robmac70
Hi, Camera: Fuji HS30 EXR Adobe Software: Lightroom 4.4, PS Elements 11, and ACR 7.4 Other software: SilkyPix and Paintshop Pro X5 OS: Win 7 Ultimate Shooting in RAW + JPEG. I open the files in LR 4 and the JPEG looks properly exposed while the RAF file is at least +2 stops overexposed. This is consistent with all of the RAF files viewed in LR 4 or PSE 11 using ACR 7.4. However, if I open the RAF file in SilkyPix or PSP X5 the RAF file looks properly exposed. I can correct the problem in LR 4...
