The camera is handy to use with a clear and large display. I guess, the camera is easy to use and also delivers good images for its price. There were however extreme artefacts when taking shots with bright background. They were clearly visible without zooming to a 100%. The camera had problems to focus if light conditions were not extremely well. Excellent picture quality in open spaces, nice colors and good contrast (auto mode). Excellent picture quality in macro and super macro mode. Use of widely available and cheap AA batteries. Use of widely available and cheap SD memory cards (not bloody expensive Sony memory stick). User friendly software, easy readable on large 2.5" LCD. Lot of functions. Problems: No viewfinder.

I think this camera is very good value for the money. Compact, solid construction, Pentax durability. 6 Meg resolution, mode dial to simplify quick selections. Sound and movie recording limited only by card size. Many useful features, such as 2 self-timer modes... 10 second to let you get in the picture, and 2 second for tripod shots with no shutter shake. This is an oddball of a camera. All things considered, and as far as digital is considered, I'm impressed with the thing. But there are some drawbacks... I did some test runs and found the following: * Macro mode is IMPRESSIVE. * Images at ISO64 are virtually noise-free. Highly impressive.
