I bought this camera because of its swivelling LCD, which was indispensable for photographing pages from 500-year-old manuscripts in musty archives (which my wife does for her research). I have used Pentax SLRs for years, but brand loyalty wasn't a factor--one needs to spend about $600 to buy the next-cheapest camera with a swivelling LCD! A little warning ... Problems: You can't download images from this camera unless you have Windows Me, 2000 or XP. Forget win98. I know Win98 is 6 years old now, but this will affect quite a few people still. It seems the only way around it is to avoid using the internal memory, but to use SD or MMC memory and a card reader instead.

Good point-and-shoot camera, with an easy menu and a nice swivel LCD. Problems: The movies could have sound Battery life is poor compared to other cameras. Very weak body.
