Bought the Pentax 330GS on December 23 2002, to this day I have taken over 40,000 picture with this little camera. It renewed my interest in photography. It has limitations but for a basic 3MP digital camera it has been reliable and under the right condition can take very good pictures. Pros: Very durable, 40,000 pictures and counting. Tough, survived being dropped several times. Uses AA batteries. LCD flips forward great for taking self portraits.

I bought this camera last night from Jessops for an amazing price of £190! BARGAIN! Discontinued stock, they told me. I have owned a Sony P71, and a Nikon 880 since moving over from 35mm to digital. I can honestly say that the quality of images leaves the others standing. Especially night shots as there is virtually no noise, due to the noise reduction facility. Settings could be better, no aperature or shutter control, but excellent white balance and exposure control. I wanted a smaller ...

"+" An EXCELLENT camera for the beginner! Makes very good pictures in good light. Fits well in your pocket. CF and AA are relatively cheap and widely available. It has clear menus and good controls. It makes you dependant of digital photography. "-" You should use the manual settings available, especially white balance, othewise you will lose the right colour. In dark areas you will see significant noise. Bright reds tend to be over saturated. Movie mode could be better. The swing-out display ...

I have been very impressed by this camera. The controls fall easily to hand and the results are excellent. I am particularly impressed with the macro facility. I got better results once I set the colour and sahrpness to a higher value. The 3D featrurte is a bit of a gimmick as is the movie sfunction. A couple of small short comings, no flash synch outlet or hot shoe and no uncompressed file format. I like the way you can record camera setting . Overall a good point and shoot camera.

I bought an 330GS two months ago. Dropped it with the lens open the second day. No harm done. Very well built Extreme good value for the money Problems: Pictures taken in bright sunlight tend to be to light. Adjusting the white balance will help.

I have had this camera for about a month and really like it. I love the form factor and features. All plastic but top build quality, with the possible exception of the rubber port covers. However, as I also bought a CF card reader, I don't intend to use them very often. Looked first at the 230 last summer but wanted a 3mp camera. This fills the need. Unfortuantely it was just replace by the Optio33L, with a 360 deg swivel LDC instead of the 330GS's 180 deg LCD, which, frankly is a bit of ...

I'm a beginer in a digital photography and photography all together. Recently bought Optio 330GS ( I was buying Optio 220, but a good saleswoman convinsed to get this one), so far seems like a good camera and no major problems found. I really like the swing-out display feature cause it so usefull to take self-pictures. Haven't really tried any complecated features such as "manual focus" and "macros" but hopefully will experiment them in a near future. Problems: *standard memory (16 mg) - is ...

This is a fantastic cam!!! I've been shopping around for months now, and I've read more reviews than I can count. Choice fell on this one - and DAMN it lives up to expectations! (I've taken 300 pics already) Check out some sample images here: http://hemmert.homepage.dk (Read the note at the bottom of the page!!!) It's the best cam in it's priceclass! And you get tons of features on top of that. It's the smallest of all the 3 mp zoom-cam's in the priceclass, and it uses CF-cards and AA-battery. ...
