I recommended the purchase of three of these for my office about two to three years ago, right as they had been discontinued. We paid $400 each. All three get heavy use by as many as 20 different people. They have been dropped, abused and misused. Most of the users are amateurs. Out of the three, one had to be sent back for service after it was dropped. For a small fee, Pentax fixed it up, sent it back and all was well. All three are still in service and work flawlessly. The image quality is ...

The Camera is easy to use, with all the functionality of a normal SLR without the Lens aspect. Natural daylight images are captured with realism, although there can be moire problems. The images are easily downloaded as there isn't really a need for special software, just a USB port. The focusing is pretty accurate and quick. Feels like and handles like a normal compact camera, unlike some with obvious look and feel of a digital camera, Having a normal view finder makes it easier to ...

After 20 years of 35 mm photography, I was looking for a digital with quality and features - Pentax came through. I've shot 2500 pictures in Europe and in the US over the past 8 months with this camera - and it is outstanding for a 2.11 M Pixel Camera. The Flash features, focus metering, and many other menu items must be studied (use manual focus for night shots!) - but with very little practice it is a very easy to use camera. I am very much impressed with the ease of use and the picture quality of this camera. I also like the novel features like being able to view pictures on the TV. Nice size to carry around. Problems: Battery life, too short

Takes great outdoor pictures. Very crisp and clear. Flash pictures are crummy! Tough on batteries.

I have had this camera for 8 Months, and so far have totally enjoyed having it. After upgrading the Firmware the quality of the pictures improved. Some times the images can be a bit washed out with the flash but most of the time the image quality is crisp, clean and well toned Problems: None at this point. Allthough I believe the camera is not compatable with the new MicroDrives, which is a bumber if you want mass storage.

Excellent camera. Have only had it 3 months, and already taken over 1000 pics. This is my 2nd DC but have used 3 or 4 on the job. EI200 is tops of all I have used. Great resolution and color; really captures light. Feels natural, and as easy to use has non-digital SLR cameras.

UPDATE - I have had this camera now for 6 months and have taken over 4500 pictures. The camera has been flawless. I am still exploring the various features and enjoy using the camera very much. Pentax has done a great job and if you search around you can get a great price. Problems: None
