At first, I thought it was EL-100, not EI-100... Well, that's beside the topic here. The Pentax EI-100 is a superb camera for its money. I don't remember the exact price but I believe it to be very cheap. Since I am just a beginner in photography, I chose this camera. SLRs with manual controls might be better when I improve my skills, but at the moment, the EI-100 seemed to be a good choice. After the initial testing to get a feel for it, I used up the four included AA-sized batteries, and ...

I had take this camera of second hand, and for me it´s a very good election. Good images, and so easy to use, no problem with the USB or software. Problems: Eats batteries.. :-(

I bought this camera as my first digital. I take a lot of 35mm pictures and love my Pentax. I also wanted an easy point and shoot camera for my wife to use. It has suited both functions well. The digital zoom works fine when using the LCD display but it eats batteries faster this way. I haven't been able to get the zoom to do much without the display. You also have to watch your lighting. I've taken some beautiful pictures with this but I've also taken some that have a funny glow. Over ...

Bought it 2 weeks ago. As I am a newbie at digital photography I didn't want to spend much money on a camera, and so I took the cheapest they had. Good choice, in my opinion. As mentioned in other reviews, shots at low light levels are really noisy. Unfortunately, it lacks a lens cover. Very good value for money. Problems: I already had to go back to the store and return the camera and pick a new one, because after a few days the flash stopped working properly. Instead of the 2 or 3 times it ...

At first when I just bought this camera, I read about these users' comments. I thought I just spent my pocket money for nothing........... Now, I have changed my opinion. For digital camera, if you want to buy, you can go for very high ended, good quality cameras that cost a bomb. This pentax ei-100 surely is one of the best among the low ended, entry level digital camera. Just thought this camera is: a) an ordinary digital camera (like a ordinary camera) ; with b) macro function only. Later, ...

This is an excellent choice for anybody looking for a cheap, but great little camera that takes very good photos. I found this one for around $200 USD The camera has many great features. It's a very straightforward and easy to use camera. The instruction booklet makes it very clear on how to properly set various adjustments and whatnot on the camera. The camera also came with some very excellent goodies. The best one being a great little padded carrying pouch that you can carry the camera ...

Great camera for the price. Good pictures, easy to use, small and lightweight. Good camera for the family or the beginner digital photographer. Problems: Almost impossible to take good shots unless it's daylight. This camera is not good at night shots at all. All the pictures on the camera have somehow automatically deleted themselves on me twice, even though I didn't delete them. There may be a glitch in the product which causes this.
