Very nicely built camera with attractive 14-50 2.8/3.5 kit lens. Operation is 'old-school', which I like. I never got colors, contrast and sharpness of the jpeg engine to my liking. I did not want to be forced to shoot raw always, therfor I sold the camera after 2 years for almost the same price. I bought a Olympus E1 instead. Although lower pixel count (5 vs 7,5 MP) I like the results from the Olympus MUCH better than of the Panasonic. The built in bounce flash really works great! Problems: ...

Excellent camera at the time it came out in market... With the lens that came together with this camera, it's feel like you are shooting with a Leica camera, not panasonic.. Pic quality is superb!! I got one but planning to sell it and move to full-frame body.. interested, e-mail to: rehan.nikon@gmail.com Problems: -nil-

Love this retro style camera. It comes with fast lens. Very well organized controls and clever and fast setup with aparture dail on the lens and speed dail on top. Tis was my 11th digital camera. Problems: dark view finder

Having bought this camera second hand, and having gotten one that was very well cared for, I feel that I got quite a deal, both in terms of the overall cost and most particularly the Leica "kit" lens that simply blows away the competition. Having been a film camera user (Nikon), and having shot on manual, I find this camera a pleasure to use. The build is robust and the instrument fits well in that hand. (I suppose I have a "medium" hand size.) I like the "retro" look and feel of the camera ...

The L1 is simply one of the most magnificient tools created by the digital imaging world. It's beautiful in it's design & very tactile & intuitave in practice. The images are brilliant & I can't wait till I attach the Leica D Summilux to this beauty. I have only had the camera for a week n' a half yet, but already love it unconditionally & have nothing poor to say about it. The kit lens is incredible, albeit rather large but in a very dignified way & well worth the weight. Comparing it to my ...

After acquiring a new LC1 2 months ago, this 5 mega pixel camera surprised me with its crisp and 3D images.I enjoy using this camera more than my K10d, but K10D will give me more pictures taking opportunity because of its SR and high ISO capability.Since then I have taken a liking of Panasonic DSLR camera with Leica lens and read a lot of reviews from pro & consumers with mixed feelings. The turning point came when someone in this forum bought a new L1 for USD 700 from Amazon.com ,and I ...

I'm a Leica M user. But my Leica stuff had put on self since digital era. Now I do have the Panasonic LC1 and Digilux 1 & 2 means how much I missed my film Leica. The Panasonic L1 is the only Digital camera that can 100% bought me back in to Leica M memories without burning my wallet into films and film developing. But for the price tag of this camera is high enough to scare away many DSLR users. But since I hooked with Leica and get used to the Leica price tag, this camera is worth every ...

i am a very satisfied user of L1. I made a lot research on the net and read many review about it, before i made up my mine to purchase this camera. 8mp is more than enough for my wedding work. Initially i bought only one. A few months later i bought another one. This camera is good and holding feels just like rangefinder body but a bit bigger. You won't make a mistake purchasing it. The more i used it the more i like about this camera. It a unique DSLR and only one of a kind currently. I hope ...

I have the camera since last summer. Now I have enough experience with it to make a rating. I simply love the camera. Its features comparing to the recent cameras may seem a bit few but if you started in the analogue film age than you can feel that this camera is a logical development. Simply perfect. It has very logical manual controls, focus and aperture rings shutter speed dial, very useful flash even for indirect lighting. Also has a very useful live view function that is excellent in ...
