I see there is a L1800 with more colors and even tinier dropsizes, but if the L1300 with its four colors at 3picoliter drops can decently emulate average 4 color offset presses, i would go with the L1300 since the machine itself is cheaper, the ink for it is cheaper, AND it is certified for 30K pages instead of the L1800's 9K! So please, someone owning the L1300, and some decent looking surely 4 color offset prints in hand, tell me if they are close in quality or not, thank you in advance!

Firmware versions in my D90 currently are A 1.00, B 1.00 and L1.000. Went to Nikon USA and the firmware updating instructions seem to be a bit conflicting. Before making a big mistake, I thought perhaps someone can explain and/or advise me. These are the available updates for the D90: Distortion Control Data version 2 Ver.2.009 2015/05/28 View download page D90 Firmware A:Ver.1.00/B:Ver.1.01 2014/08/26 View download page Distortion control data Ver.1.009 2013/07/16 View download page Nikon...

I know that there has been extensive discussion on this forum about this subject but I cant find the same problem I have. I have just purchased a TW 282 with the L1 connector lead which according to the Pixel site is suitable for the FZ200. My problem is that the half press will focus but the full press does not fire the shutter. I have tried all the modes and settings I can think of but have not managed to get it to take 1 photo. Has anyone else had this problem and did they get it sorted...

Hi! I'v recently acquired a used lens and it came with Nikon L1bc filter attached which has slightly pinkish cast. Any reason not to replace it with just a regular colourless UV filter? I correct white balance in post-processing anyway. Thanks

I am thinking of upgrading my monopod to the Sirui P424 with the Sirui L10x swivel head. Can anyone answer a few questions for me. 1) Is it possible to dismantle the 'pod head mounting to replace the 1/4" to 3/8" mount with a solid high tensile 3/8" bolt. 2) Is there any way of locking the head to the pod. From the photo's I can find, I can see what appears to be a single locking bolt but with the L10 mounted it appears to miss the smaller L10 foot. 3) Has anyone any experience of carrying...

Hello All, My current gear is Canon EOS 60D, Canon EF-S 15-85 and Canon EF 40mm. I have been doing bird photography for about an year, for these I have been renting lenses Canon 100-400 (60%), Canon 300 F4 (10%), Canon 400 F5.6 (10%), Canon 300 f2.8 (20%). Lens rental in India was relatively cheap and I could rent them for a min of 1 Day(~1% cost of the lens for every rental). Now, after moving to Nottingham, UK, I find lens rental is quite expensive and since min rental is 3 days (every time...

I'm about to go caving for a week and among other things there will be some areas I'd like to photograph that have pools of water of varying sizes on the cave floor. I'd like to try photographing these areas by placing a flash unit (or a light) under the water, such that it lights up some of the pool from below. The thing is, I've never attempted something like this before and I can't find much information on how best to go about it. Here's what I'll have available for camera and flashes: 1...

Opinion request for help. My new EIZO Color Edge CG243W profiled with ì1display pro for photography - L100 T5500 G2.2 - contrast 100 - black minimun, is mainly used for PS 5 post-production: when used for general internet  or visiting my Site, colors turn with strong dominant, red particularly, in short time. I' m working with Mac Pro 17'' beside as 2° monitor, also profiled, hosting various windows, while saving the Color Edge only for image.

I have been using a Panasonic L1 for several years and love it.  However, I occasionally get the thought that I might want to modernize and buy something with newer features.  Better sensor, bigger evf, and more MPs are the major things I am looking for.  I have put a lot into my lens collection including modifying several legacy lenses (two Hexanon primes and one Oly prime) to work on this camera.  I also love the "kit" lens that came with the camera.  I would like to keep using my current...
