Hi! I started doing areal video and sadly, I do not have any control over the camera from ground except for shutter (using DJI Zenmuse Z15-GH4 (HD) Gimbal). Since weather can change fast.. very fast, I need to adjust camera settings "on the fly".. literally. Gimbal can start/stop recording, but can not change camera settings, so I thought, maybe is there a way, to lock AE/AF after I press shutter button? This way I can keep camera in Shutter Priority mode but when I start recording, camera...

The GH4 is about a year into its release, and I was just curious if there was anything I should wait out rather than purchasing it. I am an aspiring filmmaker soon to be in my last year of undergrad, and the caveat is I do need a camera as soon as possible. Any thoughts are appreciated!

Hi all. I'm a producer\director. I'm about to shoot in a massive water war. sure enough everything is going to be extremly wet... including yours truly. I need a high FPS camera for all the splashing. GoPro is not an option, it needs to be super fine. At first i wanted to use the sony f5 or fs7 for the 10Bit 4:2:2 but the rental services in my area doesn't have the right sealing and are not excited to use other methods of wrapping. So the GH4 can produce 96fps in 10bit 4:2:2 with external...

It appears that I will be needing an additional body for dual use (photography and videography).  I currently have the following: Sony A7S (dual use) Sony A99 (dual use) Panasonic GH4 (pretty much video only) If not for the announcement of the A7Rii, I would just buy the A77ii and call it a day.  In fact before the announcement I wouldn't have even had any interest in the A7Rii because I assumed Sony would simply improve low light and increase resolution, however the internal 4K and...

Either I'm having a senior moment that's lasted since Friday, or there's not much of a capability difference on paper between the GH4 and the G7. If I'm not losing even more of my marbles, why is the new G7 almost half the price of the GH4?

A recent post originally concerning constant preview of EM5.2 at here had given rise to another question on the strange behavior of GX7. As per member Haslo's good information, I just realized that under M mode, if the shutter speed of GX7 would be anything above 1/1000", the Constant Preview (a function has to be activated by a fn key for the Dof effect, shutter speed effect and off respectively) as well as real time histogram would stay at the value of 1/1000", and it would not be...

Hi All, I was in the market for a remove flash / shutter release unit for my GH4. I was in Diamonds the other day & was directed to the Hahnel Captur remote sender & receiver units. They appear to be very good quality, there is Captur pro module that allows for remote contoll for high speed photography & shutter delay for long exposure & time lapse. Than can be triggered by built in infared beam - sound - Light or any laser beam source. Cost is $ 99.00 AUD for the remote Shutter flash modules...
