Aloha, I'm currently shooting a lot of video with a GH3. Panasonic allows the user to shoot video with the shutter button. Set the mode dial to video (an icon plus the letter M), and proceed exactly as if in manual mode for stills: press shutter button halfway to focus (or use AF Lock), press all the way to start shooting, press again to stop shooting. Set any and all parameters before and/or during shooting. Use manual focus, AF, CAF, whatever you choose--you have full control. And you don't...
This is advertised and is very cheap. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/181396434521?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=108&ff19=0 Does anyone have experience of it? --RensThere are optimists and there are realists
I've been looking to buy a camera to supplement or replace my GH3. (I'm generally happy with the GH3, but nothing is perfect, and I have found the telephoto zoom lens selection to be limited.) Most of my shooting is outdoor action, daytime, at fairly long distances (over 80 yards, up to several hundred yards). The MFT format is nice for this due to the crop factor. A 300mm lens can bring things a lot closer. My equipment criteria are: good IQ, good telephoto zoom, good burst rate and depth,...
Since this is a manual lens, what lens information if any will the GH3 show in the LCD display? Example, will it show aperture that is manually selected, will the exposure meter (Manual Exposure Assistance) still display the shutter speed and f/Stop combination at the bottom indicating if exposure is adequate. I assume the program shift feature does not work since the lens needs to be adjusted manually. Thanks in advance.
Hi All, I've been researching cameras for ages now and Id really appreciate help making up my mind. I have a Sony RX100 mark 1 and its great little camera, but I want something with better focus, image quality and telephoto abilities. I will be keeping my RX100 regardless as its not worth selling and is always handy to have as a compact camera that fits in my pocket. What I need now is great travel camera. My budget is $1500 USD. I have been traveling around the world for over a year. New...
I succumbed to temptation and bought the GH3 body only last month. Received a claim reference immediately when I applied for the free grip and 25mm lens but have heard nothing at all since and the 28 days they say to wait are up on Saturday. Previous Panasonic promotion items/cashbacks I've gone for have usually come through very quickly - just wondered what delays (if any) other GH3 buyers have had on this promotion before I start trying to contact the helpline. Cheers
Hi, I am currently a Lumix GF2 owner and am keen to upgrade however want an M43 camera that can film and continuos autofocus while filming similar to a camcorder. The GX7 with it's 20MM (II) kit lens seems to do this very well. http://vimeo.com/74527984 The G6 and GH3 both seem to have impressive video features, however are a little larger than I would like. I also own a canon 550D so am really looking for something closer in size to my GF2. My lens of choice is a Panny 25MM F1.4, I'm...
