i am looking to upgrade my gh1, and the gh2 and g5 are the candidates.  does anyone have firsthand knowledge of the comparative high iso capabilities of these cameras?  i am growing impatient waiting for dpreview to complete a full review of the g5 so i can see the difference for myself.  i did check out the studio comparison tool for the gh2 and g3 at raw 3200, and they seemed very similar - not sure if g5 is supposed to be improved in this area over g3, however.many thanks in advance!

Hello All,Firstly, thanks for all your help in the past. I love this forum!I have been a GH1 user since 2009. I now want to upgrade to OMD as it support stabilization for my Voigtlander lenses. I take both videos and stills. I was thinking of upgrading to GH3 but GH3 is too big for me. If OMD video is better than GH1 but not as good as GH2, I will still consider buying OMD. As long as OMD video is an upgrade of GH1 video, I am happy. Can anyone let me know how good or bad OMD video is...

I currently have a Gitzo 2531EX and GH1780 ball head and am looking to purchase one of these quick release adapters, the heaviest gear that I would put on the tripod is a Sony A850 with grip, 70-200 2.8 with 2x tele. I will mainly do long exposure landscape with this setup, so which quick release would you suggest? Thanks in advance for your valuable input. --Rolland

Hello All,I am a GH1 user and I have been waiting for GH3 but I do not like the fact that it is huge. Therefore, I am considering to buy an OMD or wait until Jan when Olympus releases a rumored pro camera. If you upgraded to OMD from GH1, I would love to hear you experience. I am attracted to OM-D for the following reasons.1. I have Voigtlander lenses to take videos. IBIS sounds very attractive.2. Cheaper and smaller than GH33. Love the way the silver version look. Thanks

Hi guys,Despite being a regular visitor of DPR for a few years this is my first post here, and i'm hoping you can help!   I've come to the conclusion that I want to move on from my NEX-7, the only problem is I'm not sure what to do next :)I used to own both a Nikon D300 and a GH1, which I used for stills / video.  I've since sold both of these and moved on to a Sony NEX-7, which has been fantastic, but the restricted lens choices are beginning to frustrate me. I don't intend to buy a 24mm...

Just sold my GH1.  Ready to jump on NEX.  Does focus peaking work well with Nex cameras in video mode?  I have some manual focus lenses.

I am a GH1 owner and I have been waiting for GH3 to be announced. I was disappointed with the fact that GH3 is much larger than GH1. Now, I am not sure if I should get the OM-D or the GH3. I own the following lensesVoigtlander 25mmPanasonic 20mmOly 45mmPanasonic 7-14mmPanasonic 14-140mmVoigtlander 40mmI mainly take photos of food, family and landscape. I love GH1's swivel screen.
