Hi guys, so I was looking through a camera classifieds website from my country and saw that people sometimes trade their same system camera bodies for other camera bodies. Now I was just wondering if it was possible for me to maybe trade my EPL3 with a GH1/2 or G1/2? and which would be the one that would have the highest successful chance of me being able to get a successful trade. Also another thing, would it be worth it? Thanks in advance. --Photography enthusiast.

I am in the market for a camera, I am a college student so my budget is pretty tight.  I mainly want something that will be good for filming my bow hunting next fall. I have been searching around for sort of a low budget set-up, and I really liked the way the hacked Gh1 brought out the color and detail in animals.  The price point for used Gh1s is very good (around $200 for the body) so that isn't an issue.  However, buying a 5 year old camera makes me a little nervous when there are newer...

Please excuse this amateurish video question:  Since I have a Panasonic G6, is there any reason to undertake a video hack of my old GH1? Anything to gain, or should I just consign my GH1 to a bygone era?  Thanks.  /Ted

Does anyone know if the GX7 uses the same remote release as the GH1? I have a Trigger Trap dongle for my GH1 and want to know whether it will work with a GX7 if I choose to upgrade.

I've learned a lot from this forum - but not which camera to buy.  I have a Panasonic 14-140 lens (the GH1 is broken) and my way of thinking is to buy a Panasonic G5 or G6 body, and maybe the Sigma 18-250 (on sale for $350) lens that would give me more zoom - and later on a macro lens, though I hope there are lenses I could find cheaper than $900.   I think I've learned that the Panasonic GH series just has more video capabilities than the G series and I don't do a lot with videos. Or I could...

Amazon is selling Panasonic's DMW-MS1 for $99. http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMW-MS1-External-Microphone-GH1/dp/B002EGDFD2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405801054&sr=8-1&keywords=panasonic+GH1+mic There is also another cam seemingly without a brand name for $89 that allows two angles of sound recording, narrow and wide. http://www.amazon.com/Stereo-Shotgun-Microphone-Panasonic-DMC-GH1/dp/B003TTMHK0/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1405801054&sr=8-4&keywords=panasonic+GH1+mic This seems to be the best...

Hi, When I connect my Pana GH1 to my HDTV via a mini HDMI to HDMI cable, I get the video but no sound.  Is this normal?  In fact it plays some cheesy music soundtrack on the background.  I am not sure if it's the TV doing it or the camera.  But there is no sound feed. Any thoughts?

Hello guys, I'm new on this forum, but would love to have your advice on which camera I should buy. I am a photographer but also a beginner filmmaker. I'm looking to buy a camera which is good in both world. Also good in low light. I have a budget of 2500euros aprox. My current camera is a Lumix GH-1, which I really enjoy in video but feel a bit restrained when it comes to photography.I was looking to the Eos 6D, but I'm not yet convinced on its video performance. I would love to hear your...

I currently have a Panasonic GH1 and I think it's broken but the factory wants $350 to look at it.  I had more success with a previous Panasonic and a Fuji camera.  I'm looking for a nice, general, all around camera with a view finder and some heft to it.  I'd also like to be able to add a good telephoto lens in the future.  One of my previous cameras (Fuji) took good macros as I love bug shots.  We kayak so I want to be able to catch that elusive blue heron also with a decent zoom.  My GH1...

When using legacy lenses on the G1/GH1, I know the buttons to press to magnify live view. Is it possible to get the G1/GH1 to magnify live view when you focus? Is there any way to magnify live view when using legacy lenses on the PL5 or E5? On the Oly and Lumixes, is there a way to get the focus confirmation light to work when using legacy lenses? I am using the Voigtlander F adapter (for manual Nikon lenses.)
