Hi, I have a GH1 body with these lenses: m43: Panny 14-140mm f/4-5.6, Panny 20mm f/1.7 FD: Elicar 35mm f/2.8, Canon 50mm f/1.8 Universal-to-FD: Soligor 90-210mm f/4 C-Mount: 24mm f/1.4. I'm thinking of picking up a smaller body to be used with the primes, especially the 20mm, so that I actually bring out the camera more often rather than anything else. I do not care about high ISO performance, the highest I ever go is ISO 400, usually ISO-100. Cost being an issue, I am thinking of picking up...

Hi Folks: I want to upgrade from P&S. I saw these 3 cameras on sale (Boxing Day). 1) Panasonic DMC-GF3 with G X Vario PZ 14-42mm/F3.5-5.6 ($299 Cdn)                                     2) Panasonic DMC-GF5 with G Vario PZ 14-42mm/F3.5-5.6 Standard zoom ($299 Cdn)                   3) Sony NEX-5R with 18-55mm Lens ($399 Cdn) I like the GF5 but is the GF3 with the X PZ lens a better deal? Sony 5R at $399 is also very tempting. Any suggestion is appreciated. Fumanchu

Hi All: I am a novice and I have a PS camera Fuji f31. I saw Boxing day sale for Panasonic Lumix mirrorless camera. 1) Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 with G X Vario PZ 14-42mm/F3.5-5.6                                            2) Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF5 with LUMIX G VARIO 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 Both cost $299 Cdn. I read a lot of reviews and find the GF5 a slight improvement over the GF3. However, the GF3 comes with the PZ lens (heard it is quirky, though recent Amazon buyers seem to find it ok). Please...

After recently upgrading from my trusty GF3 to a G6 I quite fancy trying to create some HDR movies with it. Now I know it has an HDR mode and an in built intervalometer but these don't work together. What I need is some way to fire off x shots over a period of time but in bursts as the G6 needs you to either press the shutter button for each bracketed shot or keep your finger on it while it take all the exposures in your bracketed series.  So the question is, can I do this, or will I have to...

Hello, I dont know much about camera and lenses. i have been browsing and reading last 2 days. I would like to buy a camera that will mainly be used to shoot objects that are 0-10 meters far away no moving objects. 3 requirements: 1- fotos i took should be crisp enough to produce a nice print on A2 size paper. 2- low light capable 3- nice colors without photoshop Bonus: has some macro capability 1- i dont need auto focus 2- i guess i dont need a lcd but all cams has it I would rather spend...

I just bought a GF3+lens bundle last Friday and was surprised to see that there was no cap in the box other than the objective lens cap. :( Does Panasonic ever include body and lens mount caps with bundled cameras? Thinking of that, I am quite sure that there was no body cap included either with the GH2 bundle I bought years ago, as I have never recalled owning any m4/3 body cap. Lens mount cap, I was not as sure as I have bought adapters and lenses over the years and it may have come with...

Hi! I bought Panasonic 45-175, have updated firmware and now I investigate the OIS issue and its limitations. These shots were made with GF3 at 175 mm, 1/400-1/640, camera was handled. I have two blurry and tho sharp images. I know that the OIS issue can make image doubling and I saw many examples in the Internet and some examples in my photos at ~1/160. But here exposure is lower. So the question is: Can you determine what is the cause of blurring on 2 of 4 photos? Wrong autofocus, my hand...

I've been wanting something more than the point and shoots for sometime.  Years ago I had a decent 35mm camera and really missed the versatility of it. I just couldn't justify the price of a full size camera like the Nikon, Cannon, etc. Especially with the costs of the lenses. For the last few years I've had a Panasonic FZ-18. It was a decent enough camera but never really got me excited about using it much. One day I was browsing on Amazon and they had the Panasonic GF3 on sale. I did a...

I've had a Sony NEX-C3 since March, in fact I just sold my Nikon D5100 DSLR I had been owning for the past 18 months because anymore I "just" use the NEX-C3 all the time anyway. I do landscapes a lot and MUST have a bubble/spirit level, because it seems that without one my landscapes are just CROOKED as all get-out. Well prior to getting it (I used to have the Olympus E-PL1, E-PM1 and Panasonic GF3) I had found a particular tripod-mounted bubble/spirit level. It cost like $5 at B&H and was...

I've always been really interested in photography, but never actually bought a camera. I've used my parent's various P&S cameras, but I never messed with manual settings before. Anyway, I found a Like New Panasonic GF3 with the 14-42mm lens on Amazon for $150 today so I thought I would pick it up since I just sold some stuff on eBay and have the funds. Since it's not brand new is there anything I should check or look out for before the return period is up? I would also like to protect the...
