Will hopefully be picking up an X-A1 tomorrow, £349 with the 16-50mm lens and if bought before the 31st of this month Fuji will send you a free 50 - 230mm lens worth £380. A great deal and i have downloaded the manual but cannot find an answer to a question i have and wondered if any other X-A1 users could help me out. I will mainly be shooting highest quality jpeg for the excellent (supposed) jpeg output but wondered if i shoot Raw+jpeg would the jpeg quality be lower? On my M43 Panasonic G2...
I'm looking to upgrade our A55 to the new A77ii kitted with the 16-50 2.8 after the dust settles later this summer. I will try to coax the retailer to bundle up the 70-400G2at the same time for a price break -- or not. Anyhow, I do plan to keep the A55. I really have no big issues with it, and my wife has progressed somewhat beyond the point and shoot mode when we first bought ityears ago, so she will still use the 55 for awhile. I have the Sony 18-250, the Sony 30 2.8 macro, and the Sigma...
I was a happy user of the G12 but it broke and the only replacement camera with a swivel LCD was the G1x. I knew that the main limitation of the G1x was a lack of true macro (closest distance about 20cm) so I bought a second hand G1x in the hope that the next camera (the G2x) would have a better Macro (and some betters specs) and so I would buy a new G2x. To my disapointment, the Swivel LCD is no more an option on the G2x, and my question is if there is any improvement to the macro mode. If...
Just question about lens movement while attached to camera body. I have just purchased Sony-Carl Zeiss 70-400 G2 for my a99 and was wondering how much movement is normal between the lens and camera body in a circular direction , it has about 1mm of movement and I find this to be unusual & excessive compared to my Carl Zeiss 16-35 f/2.8 in saying that I have noticed it with 3 party lenses which I do not consider the 70-400 to be , any thoughts on this?
I have two Panasonic G5 cameras, that have displayed awful image quality with different lenses (100-300 and 14-42pz, 14-45 even 20). Even in good light, 160iso, low focal length. What is wrong? Could both my G5s be out of whack? They are lightly used. I replaced a G3 and GH2 with these two G5s and wow, the image quality just isn't there. :-( I have had the G2, GF2, G3, GH2 and had no issues. Something must be off? Have I somehow found the 'kill your image quality setting'?
Hi, I'm looking to buy my first serious camera (with manual controls).I plan to travel to Japan and want a camera that can take proper photos (also capture low light scenery/cityscapes) ;-)I also need a camera that can make "technical" shots of small moving parts, I could use at work. (so good manual and sometimes remote controls - it would be awesome if I could control the camera programatically). So far I had:- Panasonic ZX10 p&s (I really like its ability to record excellent HD video, for...
Hi all, I'm looking for a good camcorder, suitable for recording conference talks (i.e. a person standing next to a projection screen, and talks for ~45 minutes). I've used a pretty low-end camera so far - Samsung HMX-H200BN, which is a pretty cheap camera and did a good job, but I'm getting more and more annoyed by the limitations. So I'm looking for a good replacement. What annoys me on the current camera: the video is split into ~2GB segments, but there are gaps (3-4 seconds, AFAIK),...
