Hi Folks, Work flow issues processing raw files for small weddings and other shoots has me worried about having to buy yet again new software, if I were to take the XPro2 leap. Unfortunately I was/am still an Aperture user, now forced into LR 5, which I'm struggling to learn. I love the power of LR5 but limited monthly internet gigs make the tutorials tricky to watch. Main question: Will LR 5 accept RAF files of X Pro 2? I think not from what I have read... Will I need to upgrade to new...

I have a chance film and produce a DVD for an upcoming local MMA event. Being a new Wedding Videographer my equipment consists of  2 Canon 70D with 18-135 lens, 50mm 1.8 lens and a Tamron 70-200 I also have a Panasonic G7 with lens and Canon lens adapter and a Canon G20 Camcorder I have a 12 Ft Jib I can use as well as a shoulder rig for 2 cameras I get that they are not ideal for this but do you think it could be pulled off or do I need to purchase a shoulder size professional...

Hi Everyone, I recently moved up from my Canon Vixia HF G20 to a JVC GY-HM170UA and I have a question I'm hoping someone here can answer. I've been through the manual but I don't seem to find the exact answer I need. I like to shoot in aperture priority mode but the JVC doesn't seem to have a setting just for that. While I'm comfortable using full manual mode I still like to use aperture priority from time to time. Is it possible to attain this on the JVC and if so, how. Thanks, Jim M.

I know this has already been debated here but explain it to me (please) as if I was really dumb. I have the FE35 and FE55 lenses on my A7 and it's a great experience each time I pick them up for a photowalk, but I want a 24-70 (not the newly rumoured G24-70 2.8 that will cost both my kidneys or the sony 28-70 or even the 16-35 zeiss zoom). The problem is the mixed reviews everyone has heard about. I know the complaints about the 24 and 70 focal lenghts but I tried one and think it's great ......

I am going on safari to Botswana in March/April. It will be my first time and I want to make sure I bring all the right gear. I need some advice from people who have already been on Safari in Africa (preferably Botswana). I already have my main kit sorted: A7II + Sony 70-400 G2 A7 + Batis 25/2 Now I'm wondering what else to bring, thinking about shooting in low light or at night, or having a lighter option with me. Here are my questions: I just picked up the 70-400. From my first...

Hi folks,  are much reading and ebay surfing, I have not been able to make an intelligent choice on a new flash.  I have a 7D, and an old 420EX speedlight that I bought for my G2 in 2001.  I have used the flash for years but have now come up against the fact it has no manual control. I recently bought a used umbrella and light stand.  My current goal is to take better portraits for a few baseball teams that I help out with.  I have been looking at the various Yonguo models since I have no...

I'm thinking my current main montior(of my two) is starting to need replacing, it's an Acer 23". I just saw an ad today from Newegg, for an Acer G256HL for $20 off, so 130. I'm wondering if this would be a good deal, or if I should see what comes along on Black Friday, or Cyber Monday for something better.

Hi, PICKED UP A used 70-400mm G2, compared it to a new 70-400 G2 and compared it to the older silver 70-400mm G1.  Optically they're the same - hard to tell the difference.  The G2 is much better finding focus.  I am very happy with the G2. When I put the Sony tele 1.4x on, I lost autofocus capabilities.  Is this normal or do I have a faulty 1.4x?  Optically it's pretty nice - zoom lens doesn't seem to loose much in contrast and resolution. Any input would be appreciated.  I tried it on...

Hi Would love some help from anyone who has mastered how to use Google Photos. Having decided to use cloud based storage after my expensive dedicated back up hard drive crashed irretrievably, I started storing my photos on Google Drive. This seemed to work fine until some started to migrate of their own accord into random albums on something called Google Photos. So being the good little Google person that I am, I did what I was clearly being encouraged to do and transferred everything onto...
