If you are a Four Thirds user, this lens is as necessary as tofu to a vegetarian.  You will not know what you are missing until you try it.  With fantastic IQ, superb bokeh, and the depth of field control of an f1.4 aperture, this lens is the pinnacle of Four Thirds glass.

First "pricey" prime I have ever bought for my 4/3 system I wanted a really fast lens for night street shots. This lens is unbelievable. f1.4 is not that evident and one has to get around it, from 1.8 to 5.6 it's just stellar. Pictures are soft and sharp at the same time, colours are a dream, bokeh's fantastic.

The Panasonic Leica D Summilux Asph 25mm F1.4 is really a superb lens, not only in detail, but it has a great tone rendering and wonderful colors. Just fantastic. Aleo Problems: none.

I've been using this lens for mainly shooting under streetlights for a few years now, with both an Olympus e-510 and an e-30. The image quality is breathtaking. Zero noticable distortion or vignetting. If the lens has any drawback it is that it's a little slow to lock on a focus at f1.4, as it hunts around a bit in autofocus mode. The Sigma 50mm f1.4 that I sometimes use as an alternate seems to focus a bit quicker, but not by too much. Then again, I'm frequently taking photos with a ...
