Hello DP Forum This may have already been covered, but, I am still looking and looking and looking at reviews of CSCs. I have a Panasonic Lunix TZ40 (dont laugh), wow I hear you say? i am going to New Zealand in December and would like to take camera that covers the following. It doesn't matter if expensive either or I need to buy extra lenses, or compact/csc. I just need and would love to know what to do and what not to buy. I would like to upgrade to a better more rounded camera. I will...

May I write a little bit on my background. Travelling is my major event of shooting. Due to my age I select M43 format (micro Fourth Third) which to me a good compromise between IQ and weight/size. Since I upgraded my FZ30 to a M43 system camera in 2009, I'm very happy to carry 4 lenses covering from Ultra Wide Angle (7-14mm), standard zoom (14-45mm), a prime for low lighting and upto tele (45-200mm) for my every trip. The nearly full coverage in focal range allowing me to cover almost every...

Hi, I'm new to this so please be kind! I have bought a Lumix TZ 40 which I love, but I find it very frustrating when I upload to my PC that pictures and video go to separate folders. Can anyone tell me if there is a way I can change the storage facility so that all photos and videos just go into one folder? I've looked through the manual and can't find anything that helps. Many thanks everyone.

It appears the minimum shutter speed is 4 s. How can one take night shots at lower ISO (to reduce noise) and greater depth of field?! With TZ40 was easy since it allowed shutter speeds down to 15 s, but how can TZ70 handle this situation?

Hello For 4 years I am using Lumix DMC-FS3, now I want to change it mostly to have more zoom and IQ is important for me, I use it mostly on travels so my thoughts are going to TZ40 / TZ60 with TZ60 cost much to me, would prefer lower priced camera as TZ40. Don't like TZ55 for its tilted screen not use for me and makes the camera bigger, I want as small as possible. Are there any alternatives with price below TZ60 ? I think I want about 20x zoom, IQ as good as possibie and camera as small as...

Is any of these three camera's much better than the other two? Would you recommend one over the others? Are they all three pretty much equal? Low noise with higher ISO levels is important. Quick operation. Overall IQ. Good grip. A little bit 'foolproof'. (Good auto mode) Thanks! :-) Edit: Or of course a different travel zoom (around/starting with 15-20x zoom) that's compact. Or maybe a little bit more grip.

Hi, I've narrowed my search for a reasonable travelzoom down to two models; HX50V and TZ40. But I cannot decide at all! I favor the HX50V for it's size; it's "sits" more comfortably and steady in my hand. The TZ40 are slightly ahead when it comes to picture quality - at least from what I understand from several reviews. But they are very close as I read the reviews. What I need now is some real user input to; - ease of use/handling- picture quality- wifi setup and use towards IOS, Android...

Hi, I've just purchased a TZ40 and upon reviewing an image shot in i-auto and manual mode with lowest ISO, the details of images just look very grainy (on camera screen and on PC). Even reviewing an image side by side with a sony DSC-T5 from 2005 (5mp) the details are lost in the panasonics' despite the higher pixel count. I'd hoped that the images would have been better, much better, is there something I can do about this. Details of images look like they've had a water effect filter...

Hi all,  I'm trying to figure out which of the following set ups would prove to be the best quality purchase. I want a video recorder that shoots the best video possible within my budget of $300 AUD. I have narrowed it down to the following items. One is camcorder, one is compact and one is action cam. I want to film holidays, childrens parties, family functions etc and edit with music for DVD and online videos. I have been doing a lot of research and have come up with three different (very...
