Excellent deal for $80 at an Office Depot closeout sale. This camera takes shots as good as my D40 with the kit lens, if you can take them at iso100. At iso200 noise becomes visible in the dark areas. At iso400 the LZ3 starts to struggle with noise, but so do all camera with a 1/2.5" sensor, including my Canon A530. I won't go into all the technical detail that the first reviewer did, but suffice it to say that I am extremely pleased with what I got for under $200. It slips into my jacket pocket, it has taken great photos and videos so far and has more features than I am likely to end up using. I don't think there are many other units available at this price and at this time (early '07) that offer 6X optical zoom, digital zoom, image stabilization and 5 megapixels. Problems: None so far.

Pros: - Quick AF, and faster with "H" mode, which focuses on the center or across the center horizontal. Good "candid" camera. - Good images with lots of detail at ISO 80. Acceptable images through ISO 400 (with some limits below) - Cheesy as they are, there are Useful "scene" modes, with a little text description telling you exactly what they do. ...
