I don't agree with the last review and my guess is that they haven't read the instructions on how to change the resolution of the pix. I bought the camera about 4months ago. Great results generally down to 1280res. haven't tried 1024. Easy to use, quick transfers to PC. (haven't printed images yet). Software is great too. Overall awesome compact although it is a bit bulky. nice sized LCD for quick reviews, 30fps movies with sound option is very handy. I got a bargain at Aus$390.+great deal ...

I bought this little horrible camera from panasonic website.Picture quality is very very bad.Wont recomend to anyone.Why 5 mp is worse than my old 2mp canon?

I chose this from a UK magazine review and am not disappointed. It was only available from Panasonic but reasonably priced at £175 inc. P&P. A shame that they could not have included a bigger capacity SD card. Camera feels solid and about the right weight. The default setting of 'vivid' colour over-emphasised colour noise under very dark conditions but changing it to 'natural' resulted in reasonable results. I have a 2MP digital camera but was getting tired of having little leeway in cropping pictures before printing them and still retaining acceptable image quality. I therefore was looking for a 4MP or above camera.
