My Panasonic DMC-LC40 was my first proper digital camera, and I was at first quite impressed with it, and a couple of features are still very good, a year and a half after I purchased it. I still use it, but never for anything requirig the flash. There are quite a few things I do not like about it, and a few good features to point out. Not suitable for taking spontaneous photos (contrary to brochure) because the automatic settings tend to result in a blue/magenta tinge (which makes our baby look dead!). Very poor support from Panasonic. I've had the camera for 18+ months and am very disappointed with it. Problems: Zoom feature broke in the first few weeks (fixed under warranty). Other than that Panasonic has either denied the problems or failed to respond.
