In good light the camera performs reasonably well with the occasional shot slightly out of focus. In low light it is impossible to achieve accurate focus, resulting in a wasted effort every time. I can only recommend the LC20 for well lit holiday shots and outdoor social events. Low light? Forget it!

The camera produces good and sharp pictures with a good working auto-focus. It's use is limited in marginal light conditions. Problems: At least in New Zealand, the after sales service on a camera line with apparently known faults in a production run was appalling - four weeks with no follow up - or feed bcak, and finally received a replacement camera via the sales staff who then billed the suppliers. The sales staff are steering people away from Panasonic cameras here.

Since there is no Panasonic Forum...how is this camera with printing 8x10 Black and White photos? If someone could email me a contrasty image at it's highest resolution, changed to black and white from the camera...I will print it....greatly appreciated. constantine@muzungu.com

Results not as good as expected but hey its a camera for beginners. Leica lens is good and damn its fast, auto focus in low light is good, good macro compared to its competitors, easy to use, recommend to beginners who take pics for fun Problems: Battery drainer, pics always noisy, even under the sunlight pics a lil blur

Maybe I got a bad apple from the whole Panasonic production bunch...otherwise, excellent optics once camera is focused or exposed correctly. Probably it is a software problem. I wasn't happy with this camera's performance. Customer service call was no help either - no wonder it's been discontinued or so many refurbished units started coming out. The battery and SD memory card latch will wear out and can cause problems for owners in the future! Problems: Underexposure and bad focusing - ...

I tried this camera over christmas, I found the pictures to be of poor quality, I returned it to the store, and picked up a LC 40 only $250CD more, there is no comparison, between these two. The LC40 is easly worth the extra money. Problems: As above

Pretty nicely constructed. A bit plasticly, but at least the buttons and knobs don't feel like they will fall off. Still... the pictures are awful. I paid 217 Dollars for the Office Max bundle of this camera + 128 SD card and even at that price, I'm returning it. The pictures are blurry, soft, poorly focussed and the color range is pitiful. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to try next, but I'm thinking about the Canon A40 or a low end Sony.

Well constructed, well priced and easy to use. It replaced my sony dsc p51, and I especially like the warm colors it renders. Software is the pits. For average user like myself it is good value for the money. Problems: None
