Excellent Camera. Has capability for advanced users as well as beginners. I got this camera at a great price. Great value for money, would recommend to anyone who wants a camera that will provide great results. Problems: So far none.

I bought this camera last year. It's light but very solid. I'm impressed by the high quality of the optic and the pictures. Great continuous shooting mode. I love the 12x zoom and the optical stabilizator. Problems: Weak flash, menus not intuitive, very poor low light focus. The battery doesn't last long and a second costs a lot.

I've taken 300+ shots with this camera. And I'm extremely satisfied with it. The image stabilizer is great. Most people say that its difficult to focus in low-light situations, but I was able to do it without encountering that much difficulty. Thanks for the advice given on this website, I was able to buy a 2 MP camera (not following the standard marketing perspective of higher megapixels mean much better resolution), and investing on a higher optical zoom lens capability. Problems: I ...

I bought the FZ2 in March 2004 to go with the FZ1 I've had since May last year. My main reason for buying it was the bargain price when Panasonic UK were dumping stocks (for reasons known only to them). I paid £199. Since this camera is very similar to the FZ1, I am repeating much of my posting for that camera, but with comments on differences where they apply. In good light outdoors, it delivers good pics for a 2mp camera, and the 4fps burst mode is great for capturing moving objects such ...

I have been using my FZ-2 for about four months now, and I have to say that in that time this camera has met or exceeded almost all my expectations, which is rare. I am the kind of person who researches his purchases obsessively, and this camera is no exception. After two months of internet searching, I decided that this camera would suit me well. Usually, after building such a high expectation for something, it sets up the inevitable dissapointment of reality. This camera is nearly the ...

This is really great and fun camera for this price. Little camera with great zoom and image quality. Check the pics I've taken, these are straight out of camera without post-processing, only resized for the web. Actually without resizing they are sharper. I think also the jpg output is really great, I can fit almost 300 razorsharp pics on a 256MB memory card. My FZ2 pics here: http://imageevent.com/cam70 Problems: for some people 2 mpix might be a problem, not for me, I'm not printing ...

For those looking at this cam: You won't find a 12x IS lens at this price point elsewhere. End of story. The pictures are quality. I snap with the "warm" setting at ISO 50 most often and they turn out warmly saturated and crisp. Battery time is decent, but buy an extra battery if shooting all day. Lasts 200+ pictures. Charge in 90min max. (I have two batteries). Nice to have filters, but the extention shade that has filter threads causes vignetting. Zoom is fast and quite. Once focus is ...

I did finally buy this camera one week ago, after a very long hesitation, that got slightly longer (until I saw the lousy samples) when Canon came with S1 IS At the same time, was the price going down to 3500 sek (about 400 usd) so I couldn't resist this amazing masterpiece... Yes, I have found out that this camera give over 900 fine lines of sharpness and I take especially pictures in very soft indoor lightening, so the great optical image stabilizer (and bright lens) really help me... You ...

Hi, I bought a FZ2B about 8 weeks ago, after having two fugi camera's. I read a report in a camera magazine on this camera and really liked the sound of having a Leica 12xOptical zoom lens. I ordered one complete with 128 SD card and Lumix Case. My first pictures were pretty bad to say the least. Most were under exposed and noisy. At this point I'd not done my homework really and practised enough with it. A week or so later I took more pictures of a church and its tower. The results were ...
