A friend got this camera for Christmas a couple of years ago and asked me to show her how to use it. I tried it for a couple of days and was amazed at the quality of the photos. You can shoot RAW and the 35mm equiv zoom range is 26 to 600mm. It's great for going on long hikes or if you just don't want to lug around heavy gear. It has been upgraded to an FZ200 and I think the main difference is the 200 is f 2.8 throughout the zoom range. It won't replace all of my Canon gear, but it does have ...

This FZ150 I'M particularly using for video. Within some months it was a "hard work" to find out the best settings for several needs. Because the camera offers so very many options that a concerning learning curve is the implication. But now I have found three main settings that I stored under CUST 1, 2 and 3. The slow motion feature is very limited by the low resolution... -- however, it is useful when edited in PiP modes. There is also a useful 8:1 time lapse feature (hidden under ...

I am not a pro shooter, but I consider myself to possess some skill with a camera. The FZ150 is an upgrade from my Cybershot DSC-S85 and Nikon FM 35mm with a 50mm f1.8 prime lens, which are 10 ad 30 years old. I can turn out good shots from both considering their age, but film is getting expensive and the Cybershot is old, slow and doesn't shoot video (it does, but for 10 sec. at its highest quality). I wanted a DSLR at first but the body and lens I wanted were over my budget. I looked at ...

THE FZ28 WAS GREAT ONLY TO BE SURPASSED BY THE FZ35 AND NOW THE FZ150 IS ALMOST OUTSTANDING. When it comes to FZ150, I love the camera what I dislike immensely is the now changed 'playback button' that gives no indication wether it's on or off.. On the FZ28 & FZ35 they had a playback selection switch which made it obvious that when it was up it was for 'camera' use and down for 'playback'. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT ANY DESIGNER USING THIS CAMERA WOULD NOT HAVE REALIZED THAT THIS IS DETRIMENTAL TO ...

After reading as much as possible about my ideal camera the choice has been The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150. I have to admit I feel intimorite by the quality of the previously posted review as I don't feel myself to be an expert photograph, till now I only pressed the shutter pretending to make from time to time some nice picture. This camera is giving me back the pleasure to take picture that was almost gone with the previously owned Nikon P80. I haven't discover yet all the potential of the ...

I've had Lumix DMC-FZ150 for a week now and have taken more than 100 shots. The shots taken inside in average room lighting without flash are quite good. Shots taken outside at night of lighted holiday decorations are also quite good. Shots taken in daylight are exceptional. The super zoom is incredible. The refresh time for shots taken with a 10 rated SDHC is quite fast

I've taken 867 photos in the 8 days I've had it - I would have taken more but we had a few overcast days. This is my 2nd FZ - my first was the FZ30 and it's 6 years old and its still going perfectly. I just wanted to upgrade and I bought the FZ150. So far I have been really impressed. I've tried the IA setting and I was very happy with the results but mostly I use the P setting and I am very happy with the photos. Tonight I tried out the hand held night setting with just 4 lights on outside ...
