Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150

Pros: I've read the other reviews and agree that with careful setting up, the camera can take extremely good shots. Video is particularly good. Excellent articulating screen. Cons: Digital zoom levers far too imprecise, making fast and accurate framing all but impossible. In some modes, sleep forgets settings. Poor ergonomics and semi-flush buttons. Summation: Bought to replace a much-loved FZ50, but will be replaced for a less automated 'working tool'.

This FZ150 I'M particularly using for video. Within some months it was a "hard work" to find out the best settings for several needs. I am not a pro shooter, but I consider myself to possess some skill with a camera. The FZ150 is an upgrade from my Cybershot DSC-S85 and Nikon FM 35mm with a 50mm f1.8 prime lens, which are 10 ad 30 years old. THE FZ28 WAS GREAT ONLY TO BE SURPASSED BY THE FZ35 AND NOW THE FZ150 IS ALMOST OUTSTANDING. When it comes to FZ150, I love the camera what I dislike immensely is the now changed 'playback button' that gives no indication wether it's on or off.. I've had Lumix DMC-FZ150 for a week now and have taken more than 100 shots. The shots taken inside in average room lighting without flash are quite good. Shots taken outside at night of lighted holiday decorations are also quite good. Shots taken in daylight are exceptional. The super zoom is incredible. The refresh time for shots taken with a 10 rated SDHC is quite fast
