Very typical picture of mine. Wilderness in mountains are interesting, and this is from about 1000 meters above sea.Very typical equipment I use for those is a warm car at sea level and my FZ150 at full zoom. So, much, and even more zoom is always wanted. And like most, I guess, I often think of upgrading for better picture quality.Been thinking for a while on micro 4/3, - and now with the FZ1000 soon coming I had to think this over again. Please look at the sketch.Left is a best qual. Jpg from...

Hi guys,, me again,,,,,,,, Is it possible please to answer a question / give me some advice on Aspect Ratio's,,,, Now my old TZ was set to 4-3,,   I say set,, I just never changed it, ha, ha,,  This FZ150 is,, having checked,, set to 3-2. I would say (might be wrong) the FZ set at 3-2 makes/brings the "view" closer, or looks that way to me, but, seems to crop a bit off top & bottom of the frame, again, looks that way to me. So, as I only tend to view my photos on the PC, and (if there is such...

Some of you guys will know I'm not the most clued up technical wise on cameras so a little help here please. A friend of mine is after a camera for his holidays and saw my TZ35 travel zoom,, he quite liked it but was not to keen on carrying "just a compact",  and says that he had looked on ebay at a 2nd hand FZ150,,       I gave him the DPR web address and he has looked on here at reviews, specs, various posts etc and  came up with this,, The FZ150 would be a better camera  because comparing...

Looking for recommended external battery solutions for Olympus OMD cameras (I have E-M5 now and have ordered E-M1 to arrive later this week). I have the Olympus HLD-6 grip, and will order the HLD-7 grip eventually. But I am looking for a solution which will last all day.I have Panasonic cameras (GH3, G5, FZ200, FZ150) and use the corresponding coupler (e.g. DMW-DCC12 DC coupler for GH3) with an external battery (e.g. Tekkeon myPower ALL Plus MP3450i Battery (5-19V) which outputs 8.4V DC for...

Hi, I am sometimes having a focusing problem with my FZ150. Whenever I want to sharply focus on a specific bird, The camera just keeps moving the focus in and out for a few seconds before it finally focuses properly. Usually that is too late, the bird has moved. What type of focus would be best to focus quickly and accurately on just one tiny spot without having to keep pushing the button down several times to get focus around branches and trees? I apologize for this question because I know...

Does anyone know why Amazon has stopped carrying the AW1 after only a few months? This is a very unusually short length of time for Amazon. Even if something better were just around the corner, Amazon usually will overlap the sales period (for example, the Pany FZ150 kept on long after the FZ200 came out). I was thinking of getting the AW1, but now I'm having second thoughts. Does this discontinuance mean that there is a problem with the AW1?

My 1st post here, just wandered over from the Panasonic Compact Forum. I'd be interested to hear what MFT/Lens combos people have been using for birding and what results they've been getting. I'd especially like to hear from people who moved up from long zoom "bridge" cameras.I've been dabbling in bird photography for several years with a progression of Panasonic FZ cameras, currently with an FZ150. I think it's time to move up to something with better image quality and dynamic range than I...

Hi. Forgive me if this has already been covered, I couldn't find anything to about it. I have a Panasonic FZ 150. If I shoot in jpeg mode, no problem. If I shoot in jpeg and raw modes together, or raw mode alone the raw mode shot always shows up like this. I don't use lens filters or lens hoods so it isn't that. The jpeg shot always shows up clear, the raw always is vignette. Is it something I am doing, or is it the camera?
