Construction: 4.5 coz the battery door is a bit fragile, other than that, it is rare to find cameras in this price range still Made In Japan. Features: you can't ask for more on a compact camera like this except I really want the 28mm wide angle which is now a standard on the FX series ! My friend bought the FX01 three months later than I got my FX9, darn... Image Quality: Leica standard or quality controlled lens, not sure how much input Leica has on it, but outdoor pics are great. Like most ...

I had this camera for almost a year, and it was recently stolen at a party my sister took it to. Other than the fact that it was stolen, this was it's most valuable use... point and shoot at parties. And for the most part, I thought this camera was perfect. Being made of all metal parts rather than plastic made it really durable. I updated from my Fuji S3000Z which when I bought was great, but way too chunky to take with me everywhere. The FX9 fits perfectly into even my smallest purses and I ...

I've owned this camera for more than a year now. All I want to say is up there in the ratings. It's my go-everywhere camera. Problems: Flash is not powerful enough. A bit too heavy for a carry-around camera. Image stabilisation feature compensates.

I have used this camera for about 6 months now and honestly i love it. In daylight the picture are sharp, contrasty and with lovely colours. Noise in lower ISO's is practicaly absent. The inclusion of OIS is really handy in low light situations. The movie mode is amazing (at night too) and the various scenes are very handy. Battery life is better than expected aswell. Construction wise its very sturdy and just oozes high quality. Its pretty to look at too. Problems: Low light performance is ...

This camera is underestimated. Its sleek, its stabilized. Takes good pictures - much better that one would do normally- thanks to the stabilization. Best slim compact so far - that I know of in this respect. The slimness means that you can have it on a string from your neck (used to have the IxusI there before) - and to everybodys surprise - someone has a camera ready. Have many nice photos from occations where nobody else had a camery ready. Qualitywise it has to be proven that e.g. digital ...

Excellent cammera, Very happy with performance. I have used a Pentax 5si and I find the FX9, quicker, better feachers, and easier to use. If you are expecting perfection by a digital SLR. If you want easy put in your pocket excellent quality with great features, the FX9 is my recommendation Problems: Nothing major. Battery life could be a bit better, I only seem to get about 200-250 shots per charge. Camera comes with a 16mb sd card... 16mb... what's the point. Other then that it's an ...

granted this camera is not the thinniest, but it feels solid and small enough. I like the anti-shake feature better than the Sony T9. Large 2.5" viewable screen and gains up in low light. The flash is not up to par like Canon Ixus, but still it is better then Sony. I tried the T9 and I don't like the color output, it's too red, looks unnatural. my FX9 suit me best, and I carry it in my purse everyday. I also have the Canon rebel xt, Panasonic FZ5, Sony V1, Canon SD300 (ixus40). People ...

i am a longtime reader, first time commentator. i recently brought a fx 9 panasonic as a point and shoot camera that supplememts my nikon d2x's. i do not understand the issues peopple have with noise, i find the camera operates fairly quietly. lieca lens is fantastic, and o.i.s is easily able to be hand held at nearly 1 sec. i would happily recommend this camera to friends. Problems: the battery life needs to be considered, as i was told my battery would be good for 1000 photos between ...
