Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX9

I could test this camera and I have to say that this camera is far away from taking good quality shots.the anti-shake system of Panasonic works great in the bigger cams(FZ-Series) but in this lightweight its not that good.but thats not the problem with the cam. the autofocus hit rate is terrible.(u got differnt options for autofocus but thats normal)...when u look at the pictures on pc and zoom in ,the pictures look noisy.the resolution of the taken pics is defin. granted this camera is not the thinniest, but it feels solid and small enough. I like the anti-shake feature better than the Sony T9. Large 2.5" viewable screen and gains up in low light. The flash is not up to par like Canon Ixus, but still it is better then Sony. I tried the T9 and I don't like the color output, it's too red, looks unnatural. my FX9 suit me best, and I carry it in my purse everyday. Problems: image quality turned out really bad in low light

i am a longtime reader, first time commentator. i recently brought a fx 9 panasonic as a point and shoot camera that supplememts my nikon d2x's. i do not understand the issues peopple have with noise, i find the camera operates fairly quietly. lieca lens is fantastic, and o.i.s is easily able to be hand held at nearly 1 sec. i would happily recommend this camera to friends. i love the deisgn of this camera. metal case gives solid feel in the hand. lots of fancy features.. but i am very disappointed about the image quality. noisy.. i have tried many different settings, still can't make the pictures sharp. its not clear while taking pictures outdoor in the daytime, even worse at night or indoor. i am going back to my Olympus ( i don't work for Olympus).. i am always happy about the quality.. never let me down. Problems: poor image quality.

The build of the camera is good and the 2.5" LCD is useful and bright. It fits nicely into your shirt pocket. Problems: However, I've encountered many problems with the image quality when taking photo in-house. The image is very noisy, and focus is not sharp. Tried using tripod and camera timer but the quality did not improve.
