I've had my FX7 for exactly 2 years now. I'm very happy with it. The photo quality in decent light is excellent for a camera of this size. Especially indoors in decent light it's tops. The word I would use to decribe the photo quality is 'natural'. The colors are less saturated than other cameras, but more natural. I've done head to head comparisons with friends cameras (Canons, Sony, Olympus, Fuji), and I've always preferred the FX7's images to the other makes, and even the latest ...

Bought this camera back in 2004, at the time, IMO it was one of the better small point and shoot cameras on the market. Howver, time and technology have moved on, my recently stolen fuji F30 and current F31 are a quantum leap above the FX7 in respect of low light ability despite the FX7 having optical image stabalisation. Problems: Crippling battery life makes almost unusable. I got approx 50 shots per charge. Thsi problem was fixed in the FX8 On/off Swith easy to accidentially swith on when ...

The image quality is very good, very good size, fit in any pockets, beautiful, fast focus, good handing and good large screen.. However if you want it really, go to FX8 or FX9, they have no more issue about battery Problems: Sincerely, please stay away from this camera, I've just sold it on eBay to buy another one, FX7 is battery sucker, I had 2 batteries for this camera but I couldn't take photos not superior than 120 shots !! really, 2 batteries for about 120 shots. Batteries were drianed ...

It took me a couple days to realize this camera was the compact camera for me. A couple days may be a short period of time, but it took a good 10 or so hours of research (on and off of course) before finalizing my decision. I have to be honest, I'm a very bias Sony and Canon user for the simple fact that my last 5 digital cameras have been of those brands (Sony: Mavica, F707, T1) (Canon digital rebel and 20d). However, I just couldn't escape the fact that this compact camera is fantastic ...

I placed an order on www.digitaletailer.com for a SONY DSC T1, but was stopped by my friend. He is a Guru of digital camera. He told me to take a look at FX7. I compared these 2 and found the image quality of FX is much better than T1. In addition, the anti-shaking function makes the pictures of FX7 clearer and better in the dim environment.

Fantastic camera. Great balance between ease of use for novices, with novice mode (great for handing to your mom for her to take a shot) and preset settings, as well as full-on geek mode, with detailed screens full of many, many technical settings. The two settings I miss are the ability to set aperture and to set speed. You can set a speed range, and have a lot of control -- slow shutter up to 8 seconds in night mode -- so it actually works out just fine. If you think you are comparing this ...

Awesome anti-shake I can take clear handheld shots at 1/8 at the wide end and 1/20 at the telephoto end. Combined with the f/2.8-5.0 Leica lens this gives awesome light gathering power and makes this the only camera in its class that can take good night and indoor shots. The camera defaults to large aperture fast shutter settings so you can take sports shots just by upping the ISO when there is not enough light. Now if only the focusing is faster and / or there is manual focus available... Ou ...

Large, grainy LCD is the only disappointment in this otherwise good snapshot camera. I was very disappointed with the first few pictures I viewed on the LCD, even in 8x magnification mode. However, when transferred to my computer and viewed on a bigger screen, they looked fine. I attribute this to the relatively low-resolution LCD. However, the large size of the LCD is great. Some may find the lack of an optical viewfinder a problem. On this type of camera, I think it's OK to save the space ...

I researched cameras for about six months and finally decided on it over the Canon S70, mostly because it looks amazing and is much smaller. My main use for it is photographing paintings for my portfolio, but I also use it constantly for documenting inane aspects of daily life. Because it's so small, i can easily fit it in my pocket next to my wallet. All the reasons for its being a great camera stated in these reviews are true, so I don't really need to go into these. Before I state my ...

Great camera to take with you anywhere. Color and exposure are accurate and the lens is sharp. Image stabilization works well and has allowed me to take shots down to 1/3 of a second handheld. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this digicam as a point and shoot. Problems: None so far.
