Went shopping looking to buy a casio z40 or z55 2 weeks ago, and then found this camera. I had read that the Casios have fairly average picture quality and the salesman assured us that this was better so we gave it a chance (that and the 30 day exchange). - Excellent photos. The size/photo quality trade off that goes with the casio Z55 (and other ultra small cameras) does not seem to apply here. - Was a little bit dubious about the lack of view finder, but haven't missed it at all. - The 2.5 ...

got the black version a few days ago, i already owned the contax dtvs(big), the sony t1(did not like the picture quality) and have the olympus c-60( to bulky but good image quality). i wanted a "take everywhere" and this seems to fit the bill to 90%. good image for the size, its really tiny. power up is pretty good. the focus assist lamp and o.i.s. are great features. design is very nice(regarding another comment about this cam: of course you might cover the flash with your finger at that ...

I got my FX7 two weeks ago. A black one and it looks great- very classy. It is meant as a P & S companion to my Leica D2. I am not overly concern with picture quality as my D2 takes care of that. In any case, I dont think that there is too much difference in image quality with cameras at this range. the OIS is great. I chose it over the Ricoh Capio R1 and the Sony T1. Problems: I wish that the lens goes down to 28mm. Battery life could be better

This is my 3rd digital camera (also I use Canon G3) for last 8 years. I think that FX7 is very good choice for non-professionals, who wants to have small family-camera for the weekends or for business-trips (like my case) FX7 best sides: + VERY Compact and almost perfect design + very FAST focus (much faster than G3). + HUGE screen is perfect - very bright and detailed even on very sunny conditions. + quality of pictures is perfect for 500, 100 ISO + fast power-ON time + fast zoom change ...

1. Large colored icons and letters on the LCD display are very helpful for people with bad eye-sight. 2. Anti-vibration, a tremendous feature, as you can shoot in dim light or longer focal length without vibration. Not many camera with this feature. 3. Auto-bracketing: one shooting can have 3 different exposure to choose from. It's sure a good compact camera to knock around Problems: 1. CCD size is 1/2.5" ( 1/1.8" would be better) 2. Supplied casing cannot accommodate extra battery & SD ...

I got the camera for a few days. When compared with my Canon G1, this camera is really a big step forward for me. - optical stabilizer (very useful!!) - big LCD - quick power on time - soft flash effect (good for backlight compensation) - easy to use manual - button for quick access to useful features * exposure compensation adjustment * photo review * self-timer Something for me to get used to: - no manual adjustment for aperture and shutter speed - easily shaken because of the light body T ...

Received Fx7 yesterday from B&H. I usually use my Canon Ds1 and my Panasonic LC-1. they are both excellent. I wanted a small pocket sized camera easy to take everywhere. took a chance on the FX7. It is small! It works flawlessly for me(one day). I am totally pleased with this little gem!

Excellent. The details, noise control and color seems to be better than my Contax TVSD, Canon IXUS 500 and Sony 707 505 at low ISo settings. Nothing else to say except: a) the short battery life; b) flash not strong enough for image distance longer than 2m in extremely dark conditions; c) the LCD may become mono when the scene is too dark; d) no speaker for video playback; e) noisy at high ISO value. I think these are due to the camera itself is too tiny to hold a stronger battery to power ...

I got mine today and was trying it out and fell in love with it!! its absolutely nicely constructed althought I like the Gloss Black more than the Matt Blue, however the Blue feels suede-like and is quite unique. Image quality-wise is also very nice for this size CCD. I'd rate it far above Sony T1. It has many Scene mode and features that i'm still looking into. The Mega OSI works very nicely, wide angle handheld at 1/8sec. is shake free!!! isn't that amazing!!! This one is a keeper for ...
