Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX50

Its very hard to take unblurry un-noisy images with this camera indoors. Flash tends to blow everything out so there's no happy medium. The fact the zoom goes so wide is very useful, as is the large screen. Sound quality on the videos is bad, but video picture quality is good. The 7megapixels is almost an irrelivance. This camera has many features that should make it a clear winner;However image quality is why you buy a camera and the FX 50 doesn't cut it despite the hype;I have swapped mine for a Nikon P5000,the difference is amazing.A real shame cos i could have really loved the Lumix!!!!

I am in full agreement with 'A Nation' a previous written reviewer. I can't believe that they allowed this camera on the market....Shot my first 200 exposures on the DX50. in every which way possible, utilizing all of the ISO's right up to 1250, with flash and available light indoor and out. Compared to my Dimage 60 at half the price I cannot believe how soft the image reproduction is. I had not seen noise like this in the Dimage 60 nor the soft non cutting edges nothing is in sharp focus. ...
