I bought my Lumix in December/2006, after a long search for the best price and quality gear to be my first digital camera. It was a great and nice surprise. The body is very well-made by metal and the Leica lens is loyal to the legacy. It takes amazing images and, beside it doesn't has a manual control, its automatic program makes a good job. Even after 11.000 shoots it's been working properly, after to be used on the beach, under drizzle and others bad situations. Problems: Too much noise in ...

I bought this recently as a back up to my DSLR, I specifically wanted the lowest MP version i could find to avoid the noise issues panasonic are known for. I specifically wanted the 28mm wide angle as I find long zooms on compacts a tad useless given the poor AF and poor ISO200+ usually found on megazooms. Here is a brief run down of my feelings .... Pros: + 28mm wide angle in this small form factor is a god send, just fantastic + Great size for toting about as a casual camera + Well built, ...

This is my 3rd digital camera. Each has its strengths/shortcomings. Each has been an improvement upon the previous. What I like: 1. Form factor is terriffic, cigarette pack size, slip it in the shirt pocket. No lens cap to worry about losing. 2. Intuitive menus and setup 3. Range of options 4. LCD display is great for me and my failing/aging eyesight. 5. Battery life is great. 6. Useable movie mode 7. Very good picture quality for general use. 8. 28mm lens 9. Easy to understand owners manual ...

this camera is an exceptional value, for $200 you are getting IS and 28 mm wide angle. Wide angle is so much fun. the battery life is really good. built quality is solid. for indoor shots keep your ISO at 100 and bring the slow shutter to 1/4sec. I was able to take great sharp indoor pics with this setting while holding the camera. IS seems to work much better than my previous Canon SD800. Problems: none so far.

I was SO pleased with this camera intitially. It felt solid, looked nice, and the interface is a breeze compared with canon's. controls were in all the right (intuitive) places. Wish they had included a viewfinder though. Its handle on color and light is pretty exceptional but then there's the killer... NOISE. and i mean LOTS of it.... in all settings all conditions. I had read some reviews that warned me of this, but never did I think it would be THIS bad. I didn't spend $200 bucks on a ...

I bought my Camera after reading all reviews on this site and other online sources. I am experiencing Very good Photo quality, construction money worth, I investigated a lot to buy a compact wide angle camera, cause I really love the wide angle, widest angle in compact is 28mm and I was between Canon, Ricoh and Panasonic all featuring 28mm wide angle, Although I am a Canon fan, this time I found Canon IXUS850IS far expensive (above 370 euros) on the other hand I read a lot about FX01 saying ...

this is the best smalll camera with 28mm lens in the market to day, yesterday, i bought the LX2, TRY IT OUT AND RETURNED IT TODAY, this camera not 1/2 as good as the FX01, I thought with 10mp, it would be much better camera and produce a much better pictures, I was very disappointed. I enjoy the FXo1. Problems: none so far.
