Hi, I'm a second year cinematography student and I can't decide whether I should buy a second-hand A7S or keep saving for the A7S II. Or just rent an FS7 or whenever I get a bigger job and shoot my very old nikon D7000 on smaller jobs. It's not the 4K or Slog-3 why I would want to buy the A7S II. It's more that the rolling shutter has been lowered form 30ms to about 25ms. And that I think it would be less visible when shooting handheld or with a shoulderrig because of the 5-axis...

I was planning on acquiring Sony's PZ 28-135 lens. The reviews have mostly been stellar and it is designed for the FS7 as well as the A7S and A7RII. Unfortunately, an emerging consensus is that A7RII video is best in S35 mode, making the widest angle on the PZ lens 42mm, and Sony's standard 24-70 would = 36 - 105. Has anyone tried with success APS/C or full frame lenses that are more practical, either from Sony or from a Canon mount supplier for a standard zoom? The Sigma APS/C 18-35 f 1.8,...
