I have been considering getting a flash trigger for shooting lightning storms. Some of the reviews I've read on some of the inexpensive brands weren't great, but I was wondering if any of you Oly shooters had any experience with them or advice? My main body is an Oly E30... Thanks in advance, Steviecool... --'Don't mistake lack of talent for genius'-Type O Negative

I must be missing something in setting up my d810 and sd-600 flash unit for remote wireless flash?  I can't seem to get the d810 to only activate the remote flash without also activating the on camera flash. I go to custom menu e3 and chose commander mode.  The built in flash has three options which include TTL, manual or --.  I select -- in which the manual says "the built in flash will not fire although remote flash units do".  I raise the built in flash unit as the manual says to do. I...

Hello everyone i am thinking of upgrading to the EM1 from a E30 and realize i will need the mmf3 adapter due to the fact i only have 4/3 lens and my question is after searching for an adapter im thinking i should go for the genuine olympus version at around 200 dollars. I have noticed the non genuine adapters are only around 30 dollars and they seem to have a tripod socket on the adapter where the genuine adapter doesnt ? Can anyone body advise on what they use and wether i should just go for...

I just bought one of these second hand. It appears to work fine on my E3 but when used on my EM2 with 4/3 to m4/3 converter the manual focus does not to work and I have an impression that the autofocus is not as efficient. Is that how it is supposed to be? Many thanks MichaelR

Can anybody who has shot with this combination (with the converter of course) tell me how well the shooting went. I need to replace my E-3.... budget is too tight to grab the EM-5 + 40-150/2.8. I will be shooting youth softball with this combo... I have always used my E-3 and 50-200 with great results so far... good enough for the league to ask me to take the action shots this year for the entire league! My E-3 is about to die.. I have a missing card pin (still works, but not great) and it is...

With something other than Photoshop? I can't get it to work with my E-M10 files, it won't even load them it just does not respond, either as an external editor to ACDSee Ultimate 9 or as a standalone editor. It will work as a standalone or as an external editor with my old E30 files, but in either case, when I try to save, it generates an error. See Below: I'm thinking it might only work with ACR or Lightroom in general and only with older camera formats in particular. Has anyone had any...

I am still a amateur photographer, but learning a lot. I mainly shoot wildlife, landscape and historic buildings or structures. Recently however, I am doing free photo shoots for a good friends' Fish store. In the tanks where the light's are bright enough, I get great photos, but some of their tanks are kinda dimly lit. I have been reading up on Aquarium photography and one item that always comes up is speedlights. I am a complete newbie to Flash Photography. I know Oly fires the onboard...

Having used the Olympus E30 with good lenses for many years and gotten used getting corner to corner sharpness with the right apertures, I am pained to see that the corner to corner sharpness is no longer there when using the 11-22mm with MMF - 3, for example. It appears to be so with my  other lenses too. Is this to be expected ? I wasn't planning on investing in M Zuiko lenses. Any advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

Having used the E30 for many years with the 11-22mm, 14 - 54mm and other good lenses, I have always been more than pleased with the overall and corner to corner sharpness when stopped down to the optimal apertures. I recently purchased the OMD E-M1 and MMF3 so that I could use these lenses. However, looking at the subsequent files, I quickly noticed that I was no longer getting the corner to corner sharpness that I am accustomed to. Is this to be expected even with an original MMF3 ? I...

I was wondering if I could get some feedback. I am currently shooting with 2 Olympus E3 bodies + battery grips, the 35-100 f2 and 14-35 f2 lenses. I am considering selling my gear and jump into the Olympus micro four thirds line. I've read and seen nothing but great reviews on their OMD-EM1 and their pro lenses. Just wanted to get a little feedback. I don't mind the size and weight of my current gear. I might just get the OMD-EM1 and get the lens adapter and keep using my current lenses. I...
