I wanted to do wireless flash photography tonight with my OMD EM1 FL-LM2 flash and the FL 50R.Unfortunately, this did not go well. The communication with the flash was not consistently good. The flash sometimes flasht andt sometimes it didnt flash. Tried different settings with the same result. Sometimes  after the photo was taken the flash fired afterwards. Then with my E3 done the same. This combo worked consistently good, not a single failure. Does anyone recognize this problem? Would the...

I have $1500.00 to get new equipment but not sure how to spend... I have the following list of equipment. 1.) Fuji XPro-1 with 35mm lens 2.) Canon 70D with 18-135mm lens 3.) Olympus 12-40mm PRO lens (gave my EM5 to my son but kept this lens in case I wanted to get EM1) and 12-60mm lens I kept from my old E3. I shoot mainly street, low light and some sports. Do I get an XT-1, EM1 or another lens? I've read posts and reviews and still very undecided. Thanks B.C.

Currently I do have E-520 which mostly I use with Sigma 50-500 lense. I would like to get used with low mileage either E-3 or E-5. E-3 body I could get for ~ $300 E-5 would be ~800 or more. Any suggestion? reasons? Thanks in advance.

A close friend and fellow photographer invited me on a photo shoot here in the Colorado mountains. One of the things we plan on shooting are nighttime/ stars/ Milky Way images. I've never done this type of photography before and was hoping for some advice from experienced shooters. My main body is my Oly E30 and I plan on using my 14-54mm 2.8 lens ( on my tripod). I also have the 18-180mm/ 70-300mm/ Bigma lenses as well. Just curious what settings to use, and any other advice as well. Thanks...

Hello, I haven't posted here in many years but I recall the incredible amount of knowledge you members had on camera's and lenses and basically built my inventory based on your recommendations. I have been using the Olympus brands since the beginning having (and don't laugh) the E1, E300, e520 and the lenses ranging from the 50-200MM, 50MM, 14-54MM, 11-22MM, converters  and whatever came with the kits. I still use all of them and I am quite happy, use the 14-54 as my walkabout lens, it rarely...

Does anyone have experience focus problem in using e30 with panaleica 25mm f1.4 asph? I used it for around two weeks and can't resolve the front focus even I adjusted the auto focus to +4 and sometimes the object is not correctly focus. When I shoot an object with distance more than 5 meters, the result is back focus. I really need some advice to handle the lens. thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,Im wondering if someone could explain to me the difference im noticing when using bounce flash on my canon 5d with 430exii and my olympus e-3 with fl50r.both cameras are set to aperture priority and ive got them both on set on ttl mode. The 5d sets the shutter speed much lower than e-3, is seems as though the e-3 sets a minimum shutter speed to match the focal length (on my 12-60mm  it ranges from 1/60 wide to 1/125 at the tele end). Im more confused about what the 5d does, the...

I'm planning a move from an Olympus E-3 system to Pentax K5iis. I have a pretty good handle of the pros and cons and what I stand to gain and lose, except for flash. I usually use Cactus 5 triggers with two Olympus flashes in manual mode. (FL-36r and FL-50). Some of these questions may be obvious, but not to me since I've been with Olympus for over a decade. Are the triggers generic? Will they work on Pentax? I think, so but thought I'd ask. Can I still use my Olympus flashes in manual mode?...
