Hi I have the F3 with 5 lenses: the e-18-55 kit, the e-55-210, the e 1.8/50, the Sigma 35, and the Rokinon fisheye. I've also got the EVF. So I'm kind of uh, invested in the system a little ;) I've never really been happy with the 18-55 kit lens, even though I use it the most because of its convenient focal range, or with the Sigma, which I actually never use. So I'm considering an upgraded lens in that wide-to-medium all-purpose range. I'd say I'm much more interested in the wider end of...
I've recently bought the OM-D E-M1, and I'm very pleased with the camera's performance. However, I've found a few minor scratches on the edges: one on the edge of the hump, another on the corner of the hot shoe, and another on the left side (side without the grip) on the edge on the metal strip above the leather thin, where the two meets (right above the mic input). Now, I've not dropped or hit this camera on anything. When in the bag, nothing can scratch it (I put all my lenses in pouches)...
Picked up an E-1 body for 70 bucks on eBay. Body is in very nice shape however the small exterior screw to the left of the viewfinder is missing. I called Olympus and they were not cooperative. According to the E-1 parts diagram the part number is WE115627 - it appears this screw is used in various places on the exterior of the body. Does anyone know where else I may be able to locate one of these or perhaps have one that they would part with? Thanks, Jeff
I noticed that C-AF wasn't working at all with my 50-200 SWD on my E-5 today. S-AF was fine. Once home, I tried the lens on my E-1 in C-AF and it was fine. I cleaned the contacts on my E-5 AND 50-200 and nothing changed. I tried other lenses on the E-5 and they also did not work. Any ideas? (I'm hoping it's something simple....) --Barry
Hallo As i still have a Super Takumar 1,8/55 (M42) sitting and waiting in one of my shelfs, i was wondering if this lens could do a nice job on my E-1 .. Sure, best would be, to get an adapter and try myself. But then, i perhaps spent $ 20,- for nothing, if it isn´t any good. How will it be to control MF with E-1-OV? That i somehow my biggest concern. (On Sigma SD15 i used an angle viewer with 2,5x magnification. Worked good. That one doesn´t fit E-1. Is there any angle viewer out fitting...
Hallo! As i am expecting my "new" E-1 to be delivered by the postman sometime the next days :-D, i am already "preparing" myself as good as possible to be ready for taking pictures quickly. I guess a lot has been written about E-1-orf-files and how to process them best. Unluckily many old links don´t work anymore. As far as i know, at least it was right for my e-330 three years ago, Olympus Studio (2) - or now Viewer - generally was the best converter specially when it comes to...
