Anyone seen anything like this ? This is the 2nd element behind the front lens. Although one of my kids had been using this recently, it had been hibernating for a couple of years. Just bought a nice lightly used E-1 and thought I would get to play around with this bad boy once again. Kind of surprised a sealed lens would show this behaviour. I'll probably send it in for cleaning and new seals, but wondering if anyone elese has seen this before ? Any suggestions who to use in Vancouver or...

Hi, I have read these forums for sometime but never registered an account. I bought an olympus E-500 when it came out over the E-1(even though I wanted an E-1) well few years past on, then the E-3 came out so, i gave my dad the E-500 with kit lenses and kept the 14-54mm and 50-200mm.. last winter my E-3 was hit hard by the door on my jeep(broke the viewfinder and lcd screen) figured to expensive to have fixed, tossed it. Bought a E-m5 with a kit lens and a 60mm f2.8 macro<nice lens. Well I...

I have an old Olympus E-10 that won't start up. I know it's old, but could there something simple I'm overlooking that might be behind its failure to work?

I have a new Olympus EM-1, a retired E-1 and a Sigma DP1.  I can honestly say that most of my very best photos, not including action photos, have all been from the DP1.  Photo types were landscape, portrait, and florals.  Should I grab a DP2M while they are still available as retirement is around the corner and I hope to have even more time to photograph and maybe experiment with some B&W.  There are many good photographers in this group and I hope to hear from you. Thanks in advance for your...

Hi, I'm getting an intermittent "Card Error!" on my E-1. It will turn on fine and I can shoot for a while but eventually, particularly after it goes to sleep, it won't work and the card error comes on the screen. Sometimes if I just turn it off and then on again it will resume working. Sometimes it takes several on-off cycles. I have changed memory cards and it doesn't make a difference and the cards all work fine on my E-520. Is this a problem that others have experienced? My guess is that...

My granddaughter has reached the stage where she wants to learn real photography. I was going to give her my old E 500 to learn with, but it doesn't work now. So I bought an E-1 body only on ebay. It did not have an eyecup with it and I can't find one. It is a round one that appears to have locking lugs. I have never seen one. If anyone has one to sell or knows where I can find one, I would be very grateful. Thanks. Jony --JonySky

I heard a lot of praise for the CCD DSLRs such as the E-1, A350, and K100D Super. Some say they have better color rendering some say they have a "film-like look". I'm eager to actually experiment and test as to what these claims actually mean and so am thinking of getting a used 2nd hand DSLR with a CCD sensor. I am not considering Nikon because I do not have any Nikon glasses atm. The Sony CCD DSLRs such as the A350, A380, A390, appear to have the newest CCD (for a DSLR not including Leica...
