I heard a lot of praise for the CCD DSLRs such as the E-1, A350, and K100D Super. Some say they have better color rendering some say they have a "film-like look". I'm eager to actually experiment and test as to what these claims actually mean and so am thinking of getting a used 2nd hand DSLR with a CCD sensor. I am not considering Nikon because I do not have any Nikon glasses atm. The Sony CCD DSLRs such as the A350, A380, A390, appear to have the newest CCD (for a DSLR not including Leica...
I need/want a good (affordable)back pack that I can safely carry my Oly E-5(with HLD-4) with attached 50-200 (ver I), Oly E-1 with attached 14-54 ver I and also E-500 with 14-42 or 35mm lens attached, Fl-36, 4 or 5 batteries, battery charger, rocket blower, lens cloth etc. Any good ideas/suggestions would be appreciated. --egalvan
Hello, I am happy new owner of old camera(2004) which seems to be well cared for (18000 clicks)... my E-1 has firmware for body 1.1 and for lens(14-45mm) 1.0 and got also 40-150 I and my questions are: -is it worth upgrading it and what would i get that would be better, for now I did around 1000 clicks and focusing seems to be OK, it is not so fast as my E-520 but I understand that E-1 is older -is possible to shut off the shutter sound confirmation on S-AF? -is possible to change from JPEG...
I have three 4/3 lenses that work fine on my E-M5 but I would like to buy a 4/3 camera just to play around with and don't want to spend much for that purpose, there are some good deals on the E-1 and E-520, the owner reviews I read so far seem to favor the E-1. I would appreciate hearing your opinion based on your experience with one or both of these cameras. I thank you in advance.
I just got back from a trip to Yosemite where I took my E-1. With all the trees, mountains, and bright sun, lighting can be very tricky. I am using Olympus Viewer 3, but I find I have a choice of either properly exposing the sky and leaving the ground too dark or properly exposing the ground and blowing out the sky. Here are some examples. In the first image, I find that cloud in the middle very annoying. And again, the clouds.... There are many images with issues like this. I shot in...
I took some time to play with new cameras a Sammy's last week. I'm deciding on either the EM-1 with 12-40 and 75 1.8 or EM10 with 12mm 2.0 and 75mm 1.8. I already have the 45 and 17 1.8s for my EP-3. My main problem with the EP-3 is noise. I've just never really been happy with the IQ as an upgrade over my E-1. I had pretty much decided to go with the EM10 and save the 600$ because I like the smaller size and don't need weatherproofing. (if I have to take pictures in the rain I'll always...
