I noticed that C-AF wasn't working at all with my 50-200 SWD on my E-5 today. S-AF was fine. Once home, I tried the lens on my E-1 in C-AF and it was fine. I cleaned the contacts on my E-5 AND 50-200 and nothing changed. I tried other lenses on the E-5 and they also did not work. Any ideas? (I'm hoping it's something simple....) --Barry
Hallo As i still have a Super Takumar 1,8/55 (M42) sitting and waiting in one of my shelfs, i was wondering if this lens could do a nice job on my E-1 .. Sure, best would be, to get an adapter and try myself. But then, i perhaps spent $ 20,- for nothing, if it isn´t any good. How will it be to control MF with E-1-OV? That i somehow my biggest concern. (On Sigma SD15 i used an angle viewer with 2,5x magnification. Worked good. That one doesn´t fit E-1. Is there any angle viewer out fitting...
Hallo! As i am expecting my "new" E-1 to be delivered by the postman sometime the next days :-D, i am already "preparing" myself as good as possible to be ready for taking pictures quickly. I guess a lot has been written about E-1-orf-files and how to process them best. Unluckily many old links don´t work anymore. As far as i know, at least it was right for my e-330 three years ago, Olympus Studio (2) - or now Viewer - generally was the best converter specially when it comes to...
I purchased a used E-3 a few months ago. It is in mint condition but it will not get focus lock at the widest setting when using the 14-54 (both versions) or the 11-22. If I zoom in a few mms, focus lock can be achieved. The above lens work perfectly on both the E-1 and E-5. The E-3 has absolutely no focus issues with the PL 14-50, PL 25, 50-200, 40-150 or 50mm. Very strange. Given the current value of the E-3, it's not worth sending it to Olympus for repairs. The PL 14-50 works so well, I...
For half a decade, there was basically a single 4-contact model of Olympus battery pack for Four Third cameras for years, with a standard charger (the followed an earlier, equally functional but faster rapid charger that had come with the E-1). This worked with the E-1 and E-3 and also the E300 and 330, the E-500, (and also the E-510 and 520?) The E-5 did introduce a new same-form-factor 5 contact model that required a new, distinctively white 5-contact charger, but it also works with the...
I picked up a used OM-D on Saturday. Idly surfing for info on OM-D settings last night, I came across this: http://www.biofos.com/mft/omd_em5_tst.html"I'm not entirely happy with the output. When I transfer the images to my PC some look a little dull and lifeless and lack the 'POP' Olympus is so famous for from its JPG engine.""They also do not represent what I actually saw from behind the camera. It's almost as though the camera is strangling the output and it is not released until the...
