Hi, I recently bought the E-1. I'm using a Zuiko Digital 14-45mm 1:3.5-5.6 Four Thirds lens and I am having difficulty getting the lens to auto focus. What am I doing wrong, any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Mike

It has a cross in the center and a square left and right with lines up/down and across. There is a large black circle that is left of center. Anyone know ?

I took some time to play with new cameras a Sammy's last week.  I'm deciding on either the EM-1 with 12-40 and 75 1.8 or EM10 with 12mm 2.0 and 75mm 1.8.  I already have the 45 and 17 1.8s for my EP-3.  My main problem with the EP-3 is noise.  I've just never really been happy with the IQ as an upgrade over my E-1. I had pretty much decided to go with the EM10 and save the 600$ because I like the smaller size and don't need weatherproofing.  (if I have to take pictures in the rain I'll always...

Hi folks. Was thinking of getting an inexpensive (read: cheap) ;-) Four Thirds camera body to use with my Zuiko 35mm f/3.5 macro, and a couple of kit lenses. My E500 is unfortunately falling apart and next to inoperable. Saw a used E1 going for $75 and an E520 for $144 off eBay. Any suggestions? Doesn't have to be an Oly. Thanks in advance.

A problem developed this afternoon while using my 35mm macro lens. I was taking some closeups in the garden I think at f8 and after each shutter click the view in the OVF got darker and darker. It seems that the aperture is now at its smallest opening (f22) and won't change from that setting. I was using the E-1 at the time and then tried it on the E-520 and it remained at f22. Nothing I did on either camera would change the opening on the lens (even though the readout on the camera was...

I switched to Nikon a couple years ago but had a hard time letting go of my beloved Olympus gear.  My husband is bugging about it though so it's time.  Where's the best place for me to sell it these days?  Just craigslist or ebay or are there any Olympus groups online that have selling forums? E-1, E-510, E-30 50mmF2, sigma 17-50mmf2.8, and more..... ------Cathyhttp://www.cathykurtzphotography.com

Has anyone else had a problem with the "rubber" coating of the E-10 grip becoming soft and sticky l leaving black marks on your fingers?

(Thanks dpreview and community for wealth of information.) I am considering upgrading my 12+ yr old Olympus E-10 DSLR. I mostly shoot family portraits, landscapes (travel), wildlife (birds), sports (son’s hockey and baseball). I’m probably slightly more knowledgeable than a beginner; I still use P mode probably 80% of the time (hoping to improve that number with new cam :) My main reasons for upgrading are for better low-light images / higher ISO for night time and indoor shots, faster / more...
