It's a terrific piece of glass and metal. I swithched to Olympus from Canon while ago, and though I miss shallower DOF, the quality of Zuiko optics easily compensates that. This lens is one of the things I really like about my new gear. With equivalent focus range of 100-400mm it has it's rivals within both Canon and Nikon camps, but they are slower and much bigger and heavier (talking specifically about EF100-400L), or, in case with Nikon's 80-400 lens, IMO, can't nearly match in terms of IQ. ...
