Olympus VR-340

I picked one up on sale for about $110 US. So far, a good little pocket camera with a reliable JPEG engine and nice saturated colors, usually an accurate auto WB, and the right amount of sharpening. I like to keep it in P mode and set a few things to taste, especially the WB, which is usually pretty smart, but can be fooled by flourescent lighting. I chose this camera as a very happy owner of the old Olympus mju 800 bought in the far 2005. The result is that I returned back the camera to the shop after 1 day as I was so disappointed by the quality of the photos. The auto focus was slow, 80% of the photos were blurry, the sarpness not even comparable to my old camera pictures and the skin color always look white. The only positive thing was the nice lcd quality, but useless if the photos quality is not good.
