Olympus Stylus 750 (mju 750 Digital)

Neat litle camera. I bought it to upgrade from the stylus 300. The 750 while a decent camera needs something the 300 has. A viewfinder. Any daylight at all just about makes the LCD useless. Doing away with the xd format would be nice. One other thing this camera needs is a AF assist lamp. This feature should be mandatory on a camera without a viewfinder. Problems: see above

A very well-made camera, amazingly compact. I agree with previous reviewers regarding the difficulty of seeing the LCD screen in any type of brightly daylit situation. I have added a Screen-Shade which helps a bit but which detracts from the camera's biggest asset-its slimness and pocketability. This camera is crying for a viewfinder ! Problems: Viewing the LCD screen in bright light.

I have used this camera extensively over the course of a week. I haven't used the incandescent or fluorescent white balance settings, but the auto white balance works fine. You can't set the apeture or shutter on this, so you must rely on the scene settings. Outdoors I usually use setting #3 (Landscape + Portrait). Fill-flash outdoors is natural and consistent. The whole idea is good pictures, right? Sure, this camera has tons of versatility and two kinds of image stabilization and its easy to use if you are familiar with Olympus menus. So why can't i get a decent photo. I play with ISOs and white balance and scene setting etc, but NADA. I figure the camera is cursed by a nasty lens as it seems to have little interest in focusing. My C5050 has the nicest lens and takes the nicest photos but its several generations old and slow as a tortoise. ...

Bought for vacation in Hawaii. Great quality and easy to use. Picture quality is excellant. The help feature built in is great. Problems: The only problem I found is the lack of a view finder.
