i like that camera, very good looking, nice pictures. that camera is not a professional camera, because there is not Shutter/Aperture priority, but for family use and childrens its great ! because of the shock & water proof. Problems: the interface is sometimes a little bit complicated... but u can download languages from olympus site into your camera.

I bought this camera in May 2006, and it has had two big vacations since, plus many small events. For a camera that can be in your pocket, in the pool, and dropped on a parking lot (Oops-I did it!) it is wonderful. People complaining about indoor quality appear to have missed the secret weapon--the available light mode (mode 10). At this mode it generates about a half-sized picture, but with the equivalent of ISO 2500-and a much cleaner picture than regular ISO 1600. For an added bonus, this ...

Some of the comments here surprise me. The 720 does indeed not produce stellar indoor pictures, but I did not buy this waterproof/shockproof camera to use at home. The camera does very well in rough and wet environments. I've had it in a swimming pool, a lake and have also taken it kayaking on the ocean where it got dunked in saltwater oftens, and it lets me gets shots that I would not otherwise have been able to get. I even managed to drop the camera from above six feet onto rocks, and it ...

Bought this camera while on vaction and it has proved to be great for a point and shoot camera. It is easy to use and I find that I have not had one blurry picture. I have used it in the gulf of Mexico waters when I was in Florida USA and believe you me it was great. Crystal clear pictures. I took it in the water and I had other people come over to see what camera I had and to see the pictures I took. They were impressed on the pictures. I can not wait for my next vaction Hawaii and be able ...

Buy it for what it is: about the best built point and shoot there is. Very small; smaller than you think. Solid as a brick. Carry in a shirt pocket or in a small case (the Otter Box 1000 is a perfect fit). I take mine caving, and the pictures are fine. Again, buy it for what it is. It is a camera for getting those pictures you'd otherwise only have as a memory. For cave passages where there is a scant five inches of air, it is perfect. Family snapshots around the house are nice and ...

I bought this Camera for my wife because she wanted something small and easy to use. What drew me to this camera other than the fact it was an Olympus was the shock/water proof feature. This really makes it the kinda camera you just take with you where ever you are no matter the conditions. It is very easy to use and take pictures with. My 6 year old niece was taking pictures like a pro with it. Image quality is good for an ultra compact camera.

I was very glad to receive a silver edition 6 weeks ago just 2 days before my 5 weeks trip to Australia. I added a LCD protection foil and a Olympus 1 GB WD Picturecard, a second battery as well as a littlle Neopren bag. My overall experience was very good. It took some days until I got used to the features and handling but then I really enjoyed using this small and always in my pocket camera which is made entirely of stainless steel. It is very robust and solid. Even the combined battery and ...

This camera finally brought me over digtal "river stix". I purhased it from my local camera store at list because I think I owed it to them for all the time I took over the last 3 years just looking. I can only echo the two previous review on general overall qualty. My specific comments follow: ISO200 (color) is usable even a 9x6in without post processing noise reduction. With Noise Ninja 400 should also be more than adequate and even 800 acceptable. (just my judgement...others may dffer). ...

The 720 SW was delivered 10 days ago from B&H, $399.99. I bought it for the waterproof feature but haven't dared to dunk it, yet. My current picture count is above 900 and I am absolutely blown away by quality, features and ease of use. It slips into a shirt pocket, and starts up very quickly in the default P mode. One click takes it to the image stabilization mode. A second click re-opens the previous selection from among 25 scene modes, each of which flips to a second page with a lucid ...

Just purchased this camera a few days ago at Best Buy. Have not used it too much yet. Wanted a durable camera that I can stick in my pocket when going to Mets/Yankee games with my Boys, as well as use at their Soccer, and Baseball games, and not have to worry about weather conditions. Quality of the Camera seems great.
