As a cheap point-and-shoot it is OK, but don't expect too much of the manual modes. Problems: 1) Truly dire "advanced" user manual. 2) Poor battery life. 3) Manual modes virtually unusable because of fiddly controls 4)Too many pixels on too small a sensor. 5MP would have been in the right ball-park

Abysmal battery life on rechargeables. Excellent point&shoot photo quality. Great controls. Manual mode good as well. Low light performance was great. Movie mode is awkward - movies are not an Olympus' forte. Problems: Abysmal battery life made me go for another p/s camera - Nikon. Olympus is not even interested that the camera has a problem with rechargeable batteries. They just say that another camera is coming out that will perform better. Please Please I request to update the firmware version to the olympus corp. to fix all the problems in the following matter, Although Olympus C. has published firmware update to fix the problem with 1.2 volt rechargeble Battery , but actually still the firmware update is not capable to solve that problem. 1) In Auto mode, the quality resolution automatically goes to 8 MP Std , whenever you restart the camera.It doesn't remember the last resulotion settings. 2) Picture in Auto mode are too ...
