This is the most disappointing DC I've ever used. My GF bought it and it's so bad that now that I'm shopping for my own, I won't even bother looking at anything Olympus. I've used many digital cameras over the last 6 years but never owned one. I used to rate the early-model Ixus variants (PowerShot SD range) fairly highly. Best digital photos I've seen were from a Coolpix 4300. The photos from this camera are either over or under exposed; very susceptible to redeye. Skin tones look digital. ...

This was my first step into Digital Photography and I was worried that going with a 3.2MP camera that had a all weather body would lower the quality of the camera becuase they would spent more money on the body. I was way off. This is probably the nicest camera I have ever owned. I use it all the time rain, snow, shine you name it. I love the features on it has all the normal ones you would see along with movie mode and panarama. Compression rate on the pictures is great and even the smaller ...

I bought this camera, my first digital, three weeks ago for a trip to Vancouver Island. I went to the camera store thinking I'd buy the Canon A75. The salesman showed me this one and I decided to get it because of the all-weather metal body, the lithium-ion battery, and the ease of use. I also bought the 256MB xD card. I did not read the manual. I simply started taking photos, and ended up taking about 250 on the 10 day trip (there was a lot to see). I was pleased by the image quality, the ...

I have had this camera for 12 months. It was bought for a five week trip to Europe last May. I bought a 128 m card & an extra battery While away I bought an extra card 64 m. Over the last 12 months the camera has worked over time.and has performed well. no stuff ups except for operator use. that doesn't happen now I know how to use it. The camera is so user friendly I let my 2 grandchildren use ar a recent family party. They took 280 hi resolution shot in 5 hours. It was an indoor affair & ...

I bought this camera primarily for use when in adverse weather conditions and when diving (with the optional waterproof case). I bought mine from best buy for $280, with a $30 rebate and about $50 in cash rebate coupons from best buy. So for only $200 out of pocket, it was a decent deal. This camera takes decent pics and is fairly rugged (so far). I do hate that olympus uses its own xd media as opposed to a sd card which are cheaper and much more common in automated photo printers, ...

I received the camera for christmas 2003 and have taken about 200+ pictures. Indoors, outdoors, day, night, and macro. By New Year's day I had mastered all of the controls and creative options. The camera is solid and weatherproof. It takes excellent pictures for this type of camera. Remember this camera is a point-and-shoot with some creative control options. It is not like an SLR that allows you complete control over shutter and aperature. I love the rechargeable lithium battery ...

Easy to use, sometimes has given me very nice pictures. Movie mode is bad, however, as the optical zoom can't be used and digital zoom, as always, is horrid. My second digital camera, I'm actually looking for more, as its jpeg pictures leave much to be desired sometimes. I wonder if weatherproof is useful or a gimic since the included literature all says "if it gets wet wipe it off immediately or it will break" basically, which I would think would be ok on other cameras too. The battery ...

I bought this camera when it was very new on the market and despite the high price (around £340 in the UK) it was clearly one of the best around. A comparison with the then new Fuji 410 (even set to its interpolation max of 6MP) when printed showed it to be superior. Now you can get one for £250 sterling the 300 is a superb point and shoot camera. The rugged, weather proof case makes it ideal for the active amatuer photographer. It is light and fits into a poket or small bag very easily. ...

This is my first digital camera and I have used it extensively since April with considerable success. My pictures have turned out very well with little practice. The point and shoot features of this camaera are a real dream to use and provide a lot of creativity. I really enjoy using the spot metering which is available. The panorama feature has proven very well. Software with the camera is very easy to use and provides beautiful results. Problems: After 5 months of use the camera ...
