The 10MP FE-45 budget compact incorporates a 3x optical zoom lens and a 2.5 inch LCD. Its Intelligent Auto Mode detects the five most commonly used scenes and adjusts settings, focus and exposure automatically. It incorporates the company's "One button, one function" design principle and in-camera help guide and for easy operation.

Opinion: I've been using this camera for several days now and feel that It is an excellent P&S camera for the money.Used within the parameters that the camera was intended it produces excellent colored Pictures,quite the surprise, as it was bought as a travel substitute for my "good" camera.Easy to use,good wide and telephoto lens, consumes available AA batteries, and up to 8GB micro SD cards.More than enough for any trip I plan on taking.
Problems: Olympus makes us use an adapter for the Micro SD card, that cost $12.00 + $7.00 S&H ,it could be a fraction of that or free.Since it must have cost about 2 cents to make. Otherwise not so bad.Direct sun blacks out the LCD completely.
