Opinion: as
Problems: sfgsdfh
Opinion: Best camera for the money. Add the LIPO Battery/Grip and it shoots for ever between charges. I LOVE IT!
Opinion: I love this camera! It seems better made than any of my other cameras, and I have many in all formats. The controls are well arranged and intuitive. The image quality is excellent and the supplied software (Adobe Elements) is easy to use and powerful.
Problems: Low light focus with flash is tricky but it is tricky with a AF camera.
Opinion: I've used the Dimage 7 and the E-20. Both are packed with the most advanced features that appeal to the enthusiastic amateurs.
While the former comes with a powerful 7x zoom and an attractive price tag, the feel and the handling can never match the E-20. The metal casing in black finishing makes Dimage 7 look like a plastic toy. The smooth responses of the buttons and the zoom ring make you wonder if Dimage 7 needs some oiling. Both cameras don't work quite well in low light conditions but the performance of the E-20 lens is surely better.
I've used the 1400 and the 2500L in the past. I like the true SLR view finder of the Olympus series. The make- belief electronic viewfinder of Dimage 7 can't give you a clear vision for focussing and the LCD panel will drain your batteries in no time.
One complaint about the E-20 is that its zoom lens is not powerful enough. I've tried out the wide angle and the telephoto attachments but they are too bulky and clumsy to be useful in active photography.
The external flash FL-40 matches the camera quite well in the TTL mode but, of course, there is quite a price to pay.
