1. This Camera has a optical 10x zoom and you can add an aditional digital 2.7 x zoom, you can see every screw on a mobile telephone antenna, mounted on a high bulkiding :o) 2. This Camera is very Fast! It has got a very bright optical system and thus can almost freeze Time! I took shots of an exploding Firecracker (using the precapture Feature), i took sharp Pictures out ot a fast moving Car and so on. With an e-100 rs you can take sharp pictures where most other cameras only capture a ...

Great camera, esp. since it's price dropped to EUR 700 here in Europe. As an amateur SLR user I was sort of sceptical moving towards digital, but this camera (at this price) was a great step into digital photography. Problems: finding a place that still has the camera in stock :)

I bought the Olympus E-100RS after first first using a Kodak DC3400. The two are very different. The Olympus colors are not as vivid nor as saturated as the Kodak. I am happy with the camera except that battery life is short when using the pop-up flash. Also the Auto white balance does not work nearly as well as the Kodak. Outdoors, it takes some pretty great macro shots and the 10X zoom lens gives outstanding results. Suggest using a Skylight 1B filter. Problems: Shortened battery life ...

I have been using this camera for about 4 months now, and just keep being surprised by the quality of shots I get with it. I take mainly sports (motor racing) photos, and I haven't seen a camera yet that combines the shutter speed, fps, and zoom in the same package. I have also taken a lot of wildlife, landscape and even macro shots, and the quality is still there. Problems: Bright element in rear LCD.

The only digital camera that tries to give the user more benefits than being just digital. The pre-capture is an excelent idea, and coupled with up to 15fps, you never miss that shot again! The camera takes both SmartMedia and Type II CompactFlash. The only problem I have with the camera is I have to go to the menus to change some options, but after a while it's no problem, since the menus are visible in the viewfinder. I wish more camera makers would stick 10x zooms on their cameras. Problems: ...

I Have been a daily user of medium format Bronica amd Mamiya cameras for years and found the transition to the E100rs very easy....LOVE the shutter speed!! Picture quality is good....even better when you factor in the 'Genuine Fractals" program that is bundled with the camera! Excellent metering system and auto white balance (Even better than the D1). Great Buy! Problems: None
