For an older generation digital camera, this model is really a performer. It is a bit bulky, but takes great auto shots. The SLR viewfinder makes framing shots perfect every time, and this is something I'll miss since it looks like my next digital won't be SLR. Indoor shots can be a bit blurry, but with the flash results are usually good. I've taken this camera all over and I think it leads the pack for its generation. Problems: I would have to say that this camera's inability whatsoever ...

Expensive at the time, this camera should have been better than it is. It won't reliably focus in low light, and there is no good way to be sure the focus is OK. The lens shows a LOT of barrel distortion at the wide end.

Plastic housing looks and feels a bit cheap. Some images tend to have a blueish haze on them. Portraits are not its strong suit, whereas e.g. flower close-ups yield great detail and vivid colors. It's auto-off feature saves battery life, but can be annoying as it takes too long before next shot can be taken. Can hold lot of low-res jpg's (min. 50 x 640 x 512 on 4mb card), these are not well suited however for serious usage in web- let alone printed media. Unfortunately there is no lossless ...

I used the camera for 2 years but I bought a HP 912 a couple of month ago. It's a great camera. But make sure you're outside with plenty of light. The picture quality is outstanding for 1.4 megapixel. I really likes the macro pictures this camera can take. I considered keeping the camera for my family to take pictures. But it's low light problems make that impossible. You won't be able to take pictures of birthdays unless it's your gransfathers 80th and don't try to take a picture before ...

Given as a Barter for a Job, this is a first digital camera I have. Its great to take pictures for free, no film costs. The real strength of the camera is image quality. The D-600L images are as good as film scanned images, pictures from a Nikon 35mm. Pictures are Clear, Sharp with bright&correct colors. Used the Macro feature for document work using the flip up flash, another success under the D-600L's belt. While not the smallest, being used to 35mm SLR it is light in comparison. Got a new ...

Excellent choice for the money, best quality pictures compared to the competing other 2Mega Pixle Digital Cameras. Excellent print outs. Excellent flash for pictures taken inside rooms. Problems: Too big to carry around and anap pictures, I personally go for the C3030 which is smaller, yet captures 3.43 Mega Pixles

Nicely constructed. High-quality zoom lens. Problems: Very difficult to focus in low light situation and background with little contrast.
