Good camera - reliable, rugged, takes good photos. Great panorama feature - stitches seamlessly! Even 360 degree panoramas! Cover good at protecting lens. Problems: Heavy unit, likes batteries (takes 4).

I purchased this camera right when it came out in 2000, right when my son was born. I have had alot of fun with it, it still works almost perfectly despite being dropped multiple times. A couple of times the battery seemed to die very fast, but taking them out and back in again usually fixed it. I have been getting alot of pictures out of the batteries, probably because I rarely use the LCD display. The pictures are very good, and I am happy with the quality. It only has serial connection, ...

This was my very first Digital camera, and I still own it and wouldn't part with it. It takes great pictures in any type of light setting. It truely is a shame that its discontinued, but for all of us that have the pleasure of owning one, we know the greatness of 2.1 Megapixels. Problems: Don't leave batteries in Camera if not using. Mine have drained on me twice by doing so. Otherwise No problems.

I purchased this camera Jan. 2001, so I've had it for about a year-and-a-half and love it! I've taken thousands of photos with it. I can print beuatiful 8x10 photos on my Epson 880 printer. There's a lot of control over the shots IF you read the manual and learn how to use it correctly. The color and detail is wonderful. Have recommended this camera to dozens of people who ended up buying it and love it also. I've had increadibly good luck with battery life - I purchased the NIMH ...

We bought this camera for use at work in our engineering office. It has really been a real timesaver for us. The images are great. We have used this camera now for about 2 years. no problems. Problems: Wish it was USB compatible. It would be nice if the lcd was easier to see outside.

Great camera, I have had camera for a year. I use only at hi resolution with a 64meg card. I print with a HP1000. This is my first digital camera and up to 8X10 photos great. Must buy Nimh rechargeable batteries and at least a 64 meg card. Takes resonable low light photos such as sunsets and Christmas lights and fire works. Works well at 8" close-up. Problems: No problems but think battery slide and hinge to open could be broken easily.

Have owned the camera for 15 months. Construction of the body isn't bad but seems like it could have been a little better. Battery life is very good unlike some other digital cameras. On a few occasions I would have liked to have something bigger than a 2.1 MP but for 90% of the time this camera was more than enough camera. Very Pleased! Problems: Zoom lense mechanism malfunctioned once or twice. Repair was not needed, a simple close of the lens cover then re-opening it seemed to correct ...

I gave away the C-2500L, bought since the C-750UZ and the Stylus 800, but Sandra still uses the D-490Z now, in February 2007. It was sold here in NZ as the C-990ZOOM. It shows more image detail, less noise and better shadow detail than the C-2500L did, and it works with alkaline batteries for an apreciable time. Closeups that I have taken via LCD screen are better framed than those taken with the C-2500L. It is reasonably 4-year old child proof. Sandra likes its simplicity, and uses it for ...
