I've been using this camera for 3 months now (it replaced my stolen 700) and I must say I'm satisfied with it. It's hard to take decent "action photo's" when in a sportshall. The shutterspeed could also be better. The most unsatisfied I am about the manual on cd and the software that is included!

I have had this camera for about 2 months now and am extremely satisfied with it. it offers so many features for the price range and the 10x zoom does come in handy. Great battery life - best I have ever seen! If I have any minor corrections to make, fixes nicely on computer. Also, very cool how Olympus allows both new XD memory along with backward compatable SmartMedia so I can use my 128 mb SM card. Problems: Only problems I have had are typical for a digital camera with an electronic ...

On paper this camera has all the features (except image stabilization) that I have been looking for in a digital camera for the past 3 years. 10X optical zoom, burst mode, through the lens viewing, macro, manual exposure times, etc., > 2 Megapixel. So when it finally came out I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Unfortunately, despite all the features, I was very disappointed with the quality of the pictures, in comparison to what I have been used to with an Olympus D400Z 1 Megpixel ...

I bought the camera about a month ago. And this is my opinion. - Features This camera really have a lot of features for the price e.g. manal white balance, basic editing functions, manual focus, unlimited video with sound (limit only by memory size), too many to list. And that 10x zoom is really useful (with a tripod of course). Full manual functions is really welcomed, but why it is limited to max 1 sec shutter in aperture & shutter AE mode? - Customization Really like the customizable menu. ...

I was initially disappointed with this camera because of noise problems in the pictures. However a bit of hot pixel mapping cleared that up and now I'm fully satisfied. Problems: Noise initially. Flash seems a little weak. Purple Fringing in some pictures.

Been using the camera over a week now. At the beginning all indoor pictures taken were very noisy. After seeking help from C730 forum doing the Pixel Mapping couple time, noise clear up and picture quality is very good. Need steady hand most of the time using the zoom or close up due to this camera has no image stablizing feature. I purchase this camera for the Zoom feature. If zoom is not an issue, get the C5050 or the C50.Make sure buy the rechargable batteries, this camera use up ...

Having it for some weeks but not much used. It's OK for it price range (JPY65,000 in Japan evan in Xmas sale period). Good optical zoom. Better hand grip wished. Auto ISO seems not working well in contrasting scences. 400ISO seems to truly reflect the real 400ISO films in the old days. Menus available in 4 languages. Good for "internationales". C730UZ accepts both SmartMedia and xD cards. I could buy chep 128MB SamrtMedia cards to play with without worrying about facing only xD cards ...

I bought a 700 about 10 mo. ago. I liked it, but wife set it on auto everything, and I lost my camera. So I bought the 730, and found that it is even better than the 700. While it is not the best for low light work, it can be used. For travel, and just better than snap-shots its very good. I left the Canon @ home and took this on a 3 week trip to St. Louis, and Kansas City. We shot some 280 dhots, edited down to 103. At 5x7 they are excellant, at 8 1/2 x 11 very good to good. Mixed ...

The features are ill documented and left to the user to experimentally determine what actually works under different situations. The camera has a lot of potential but is difficult to use due to poor documentation. Problems: Poor low light performance using default settings. Experimentation is needed and the manual is no help. The lense adapter for the 52 mm filter causes a black spot when using flash unless you zoom to at least 1.5x. Focusing is slow and undependable in low light conditions.
