This represents a superb upgrade from my 'old' Sanyo VPC-X360E camera. Excellent image quality. Used initially for a school sports day, and used a tripod for max zoom shots. Sharp, action shots, allowed great A4 colour photos for display posters around the school. The fantastic zoom facility will also come in very handy for long range wildlife images in Arizona.... Problems: Lens system (barrel) feels loose, but does not appear to affect image quality. Some time delay experienced when using ...

I was not happy with the performance of this camera at all I tried to take some decent indoor and night pictures with this camera for about 1 month with little or no success, (tried many different set ups) as there seems to be many positive views on this camera at times thinking I was doing something wrong, but this was not the case. I thaught my change from a Kodak DX3900 to this camera would be a big improvement, but the result was the opposite. I was lucky enough to have a very ...

I had been reading up about the C-730 for approx 4-6 months until i bought it. I basically knew everything about it before i actually got it. Since I bought it i have taken many pictures. I have had no problems with indoor shots at all. Straight out of the box, indoors at night time with flash and 1 house light on. Pictures came out near perfect! Zoom is fantastic, features are great. If your a novice no probs, use auto mode. I recomend this camera to anyone. At the moment you can pick it up ...

I have been using the 730 UZ now for 5 months and have taken more than a 1000 pictures with it already. I use it to get photos for my safari company web site. www.namibweb.net/sandtracks you can see some sample photos on the desert tours page. Previously I used a Sony Mavica FD7 you cannot compare the image quality of the 2 as the 730 is way better I am in the proces of replacing all the photos on the site with the new high quality photos but this means I have to revisit some places so it ...

I've bought this camera for more than 2 weeks and taken more than 300 shots already. I'm proud of it very much! The 10x optical zoom lens and full manual control are its coolest features. The color is true and image quality is good in most situations. There are various shooting modes and up to 4 user modes. The movie size is only limited by memory space of SM/xD card. Battery life is so long. It was really worth the money! Problems: As mentioned by others before, images are grainy sometimes. ...

I just bought Olympus C-730 UZ last two days, I am very disapointed with the image quality. When I shot indoor the darkest area got a lot of noise, even I scale down to 50% in photoshop still can see the noise. I went back to that shop pay extra RM$150 change to nikon coolpix 4300. I much more better when I shot indoor.

This is my first digital camera but have use several other models in the past. I got this camera on a Thursday night and went to a St. Louis Cardinals game Friday night. I had very limited expereince with the camera (2 hrs) and was able to take some really good shots from center field. The 10x zoom lens is nothing short of amazing, with the 3x digital zoom turned on you could see the batters faces from the top of the lower deck in center field. Go to http://web.umr.edu/~moechnig/camera/ to ...

How good is this! Australia must get a better product than US. My new 730UZ has features advertised for the 750 (like 4 x digital). I am used to a good SLR - this is MUCH better. What a great camera! Just recognise that it has lots of features, learn the navigation which is actually quite simple and understand the technology. But you can still point and shoot in most situations. (using for 3 weeks at this posting) Problems: Only issue is the "exposed" lens. Solve that with the extension ...

I spent quite a bit of time checking out options for solid cameras under $1000 Canadian. C-730UZ is where I have ended, after eliminating few other contenders, especially Canon G2 and Nikon Coolpix 4500 and Olympus 4040. I like especially the fabulous 10x optical zoom, video with sound and memory media flexibility (xD & SmartMedia). Cool stuff indeed ! Someone was asking around about the difference between the 730 and the just released 740. I was curious as well, this is the feedback I got ...

I spent about 1 month for choosing this camera ad after 2 week of using it, think, that it is exellent choice for beginers! If you spent 2-3 hours to carefulli read user manual at CD-ROM, the quality of your shoot's would much better. Some peapls wrote, that there are no sound at video mode, THEY NEVER READ INSTRUCTIONS, just turn sound on throw menu! You also can use zoom with sound at video mode and much more cool features! And 10x optical zoom - you know :-)) ather advantages: - you can ...
