It takes wonderful pictures outdoor. This is an outdoor ONLY camera period. You can read the manual all you want still not produce quality indoor pictures. I also have an Olympus D-460 that takes good indoor and outdoor pictures. I feel the C-720 is just a poor/bad designed camera that Olympus should never have produced, since it has only ruined a great reputation. My next camera will not be an Olympus, since any company that produce such a poor indoor camera has fallen off the quality wagon. ...

Hate it. Hate it. Hate it. Majority of pictures have come out blurry, especially in using the telephoto zoom. Bad indoor shots too. I tried all different ways with the manual at my side; after I had to print it off of the CD Rom of course. Very over priced. A very aggravating camera to say the least. A lot of things about it bugged me in trying to capture just one shot that I actually wanted to keep. Pictures just never were sharp enough. I will stick with a Sony Mavica 350CD, which has ...

Once you are familiar with the camera and all of its functions, you can make great pictures.(I made a couple of thousands pictures this year) I know !!.......indoors you must study a little harder on the usersmanual. But a tripod gives you the sollution. For AF problems use the AEL button. I know after one year using this camera, that you can make exelent pictures, only if you are taking the time to read the usersmanual and taking time to make the picture. It is not an easy camera but it ...

Had this camera for about a year now... bought it from Best Buy for $300. Wonderful quality of pictures... The aperture tends to overdo itself sometimes, but it's all a matter of learning how to use the camera. It's not one of those "Point and shoot" cameras. You have to know how to use it to get the best quality out of it. I like the size, like the weight... came with a carrying bag and rechargeable batteries and a charger. Easy to hold, easy to figure out the general settings... it's when ...

I bought my new C-720UZ for $372 from OfficeMax about two weeks ago (I believe this is a very good deal !), along with two 128 MB Smartmedia cards (on-line from Newegg, $27 each). I started using the camera after going through the abbreviated instruction manaul. So far, I have taken about 30 pictures, all in Auto mode and using the HQ resolution setting (~1/3 of the highest resolution, the 128 MB card can hold 173 pictures in this setting). Roughly half of the pictures are outdoor shots. ...

I found this camera on Ebay about 2 weeks ago for $270 USD BRAND NEW!... I've used an Olympus C-3000 before and I know Olympus digital cameras in general give excellent quality pictures so I couldn't let this deal pass. I have had it for a couple days now and I have managed to take some very blurry, washed-out pictures as well as some astonishingly beautiful pictures that are crystal clear. The thing with this camera is that you really need to learn how to set it up properly according to the ...

This is my first digital camera. I enjoy it and so far the majority of my photos have come out far better than I expected. I don't expect them all to turn out terrific or even be the exact shot I want but the ratio of return is to me very good. I do have problems with the focus but I am still learning my way around the camera and its quirks. I have found that relying on the big view finder - holding the camera away from you - rather than using the eyeview makes framing the shot and getting ...

found that fast shutter speed is only available in bright light, which makes sense. I found good still shots in dim light even in max zoom if you use a tripod, impossible by hand held. Max zoom suprisingly sharp and clear shots. Overall, I love it. Problems: Two stage shutter button takes some getting use to indoors. Seems to need a lot of light, need to use flash even in brightly lit room indoors.

I have been using this camera for a month, now. It does take some time to get used to it as far as focusing, etc., but I now take nice, clear shots without any trouble at all. The "My Mode" feature is really nice--a custom personal set-up that I can dial in anytime I want to. At full zoom, I recommend a monopod (outdoors) or a tripod (indoors) to remove hand shake problems. I also recommend using NeatImage software when forced to use the ISO 400 setting. All-in-all, the camera is a bargain ...
