Upgraded to this cam from the c2000-primarily because of the pixels, and the compact size. Haven't had any power hassles, but then my batteries from the older camera are well used and probably at their best now that they've been charged & discharged so many times. I enjoy the functions, and the ease of use, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend purchase.

I'm using the c-40 for a few months and i can say that if you want all the manual fuctions in the smallest pack this is the cam for you! It's really small and very easy to use. My pictures are always sharp and clear. Even if they are not, you can always tune it to make it better. I recommend this camera especially if you find it cheaper (500~600€). About the batteries: Buy a good pair of rechargable ones, get used to the viewfinder and all your batterie problems are over. Problems: Now the ...

Re: Panorama mode problems. I like the image quality, especially the night shots look very nice. Just bright sunlight makes some trouble... Problems: Like Robert van Hal wrote, the display (and also the pictures!) goes very bright when shooting outdoors in panorama mode. The first picture is ok, but the following ones are way too bright. I wasn't able to get one good outdoors panorama yet. Anyone found a solution or has the same problem?

I have this camera for about one month, and I'am very satisfied. The image quality compare with other camera I have seen and in same class is excellent. If you used the right battery NiMH, and 1800 mA you have power enough for normal use. Just buy it

Today is my cam's anniversary. I have it for a year and i am still delighted with it. The nightshots are excellent and now that i have discovered most of it's features i have to say that i really would never change it for anything. The manual operations are great and still i can't find any other better combination of size, quality and features. Hope that will give me many more years of pleasure Problems: Some photos in some occasions appear to have purple fringing but truly isn't such a big ...

A very good versatile camera - very capable in most conditions. Image quality has impressed me and I've not seen the fringing or the battery problems that others have mentioned. Point-and-shoot mode is very capable but other modes offer complete control making this suitable for beginners and amateurs alike. Battery life isn't a problem if you don't use the LCD too much (I've got 200 shots out of a pair of 1800mAh batteries). Only problem then is that as Phil's review mentions the viewfinder ...

It is too small, but this is also a great benafit of that camera. Best Picture can be taken in AUTOMATIC mode. I am using a recharge battary 1800 Mi-Hi from GP, and after 3 or 4 time of fully recharge and discharge, the battary is working very, VERGY good (more then 50 Picture in Full Resolution - mix mode, with Screen review, Flash and play with the property of the camera) !!! So, if you get a good battary, and charge it well, it's work very very good !!!! But the first several recharge ...
